12 hours and 14 minutes. That's how long the gameplay record on the Nintendo Channel on my Wii says it took me to beat Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord. That makes it, by far, the longest single-player campaign of any Wiiware title I've played. Heck, it even beats several full retail Wii releases like MADWORLD (8 hours 45 minutes), Overlord: Dark Legend (7 hrs 16 min), or Punch-Out!! (6 hrs 1 min, first run through only)... (more) |

I've been hearing a lot from the gaming press and gamers about how NSMBW is sure to surpass the sales of SMG, and perhaps even overtake the 360 SKU of Modern Warfare 2 this year. They talk about it as if its success was assured from the beginning, a foregone conclusion. And first day sales of 500,000 units sure seem to support this prediction... (more)

I don't know if it's just my love of all things Metroid (though that can't be true because of the little I played of Hunters, I wasn't fond of it), but Fusion really surprised me considering how many people have warned against it or how unfaithful it is to the rest of the franchise... (more)

It is impossible to talk about Wii games on the gaming boards. People just don’t seem to give a shit. Start a thread about the 3 awesome 2D action games released this week on the Wii, and you get a few genuinely interested responses, then people who don’t even own a Wii push their PC or 360 game of the moment, and the thread dies a quick death... I think they're a good idea overall, but man. I'm playing Shin Megami Tensai Devil Survivor on DS at the moment and basically the way it works is throughout the game you can sort of build relationships with people and do events and such and then at the end, based on what you have done, you have various options for which paths you can take. So I have three vastly different paths open to me and I really, really have no idea which to choose. Unfortunately it is set up with only a single save slot and a forced save after choosing as well, so simply put... I can only choose one... (more)

This is a list me and my friend made together that represents our consensus on the top 50 songs ever to first appear on a Nintendo console (or maybe arcade for some of them) That means no songs that later appeared in compilations like Sonic songs (otherwise Green Hill Zone would be very high). My niece was working on You Tube countdown videos, but I think she got busy with drama camp or something so they've been put on indefinite hold (I have no video making programs or skills).
