In a Kickstarter-backer e-mail sent earlier today, it was announced that Kev Bayliss has joined the team officially and more distinctly over at Playtonic Games. Playtonic Games is comprised of a significant amount of ex-Rare employees. Their current efforts are to produce their first title, Yooka-Laylee, which is a pseduo-sequel to the spirit that can be found in the Banjo-Kazooie games for the N64. He might also be recognizable as one of the key artists on the Donkey Kong Country series... (more) |

Party Like it's the Year of Luigi: A new game in the Mario Party series is scheduled to launch for Nintendo 3DS this winter. The game features seven different game boards, each with its own set of rules. The game offers 81 new mini-games that test speed, concentration and luck. Just beat this last night. I really liked it! The music was great, and the combat system was very addicting. Being able to choose your own difficulty and level on the fly was great. I could see myself giving this game another playthrough if I hadn't rented it... (more) |
