Yoshi's Island DS Now don't get me wrong, Yoshi's Island DS is a fun game. It is however not on the same level as its predecessor, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island for the SNES.
For one thing, it gets too complicated with all the baby-switching you have to do. When I play a Mario or Yoshi game I don't want to be bothered with returning to levels and remembering what baby to use and where. That's more of a Banjo-Tooie/DK64 kind of thing. Instead I want to be challenged by some exploration puzzles and platforming action.
I did beat the game and it was enjoyable enough, but I did not feel inclined to complete it 100%.
In retrospect this comic may be a little too scathing but Grant assures us, with a cheerful wink, that it's all in good fun. |
