The lands of Labrynna and Holodrum cry out for a saviour. The forces of evil are gaining power. The Triforce summons you.
As Link, take up your sword once more to determine the fate of two worlds, in the Game Boy Colour classics. Wield the powers of the Oracles to traverse time and control the seasons. And link your quests to reveal the hidden truth in an epic meta-adventure that is greater than the sum of its parts.
Dungeon 5 of Seasons has been completed... without any sort of upgrade to any of my items/weapons. I don't know what happened. I guess I just plowed through without thinking of upgrading anything. I probably should though, because that last boss was a tough cookie on me, health wise.
EDIT: Well, that's why it was so hard!!! I just realized I went out of order and did the 5th dungeon before the 4th dungeon. I'm so lost right now!!!
@Zero There are no bottles. You can get a healing item from a certain shop, or from a certain randomly occurring encounter. It automatically activates when your health runs out, like fairies do in other games.
@Zero - Elaborating on what nate38 said, it's essentially the same system that Link's Awakening used. You could get a single life potion from Crazy Tracy that automatically activated when you died, but you couldn't use it outside of that. The system in the Oracles games is extremely similar to that.
@nate38 So to get it from the shop you have to get the mushroom which requires going through the whole trading chain? Because I haven't been doing any of that, ug.
I guess I can just bank on the random encounter method...
Just finished the fourth dungeon of Ages...weren't people complaining about it in this thread? It didn't give me any problems. I thought the miniboss was quite clever.
I just finished the 4th dungeon of Ages and I'm honestly having the most fun with it. More than I remember having with Awakening, based on the overall flow of the game. Sounds like it's going to get tough from here on though.
Wondering if the rings will have much bearing on the game? So far I haven't seen any opportunity to use one.
These two games have incredible highs and lows. They're fun and often offer great puzzles, but I still don't think they're as good as Link's Awakening. There's a nice payoff towards the end though. Spoiler for end of both games. I can very easily see now that these games basically lead into Link's Awakening. It's a nice bit of retroconning on Nintendo's part, whether it's intentional or not.
@Zero There are some parts in Ages that are incredibly difficult. I've played the game three times and still get stuck in parts.
