Welcome to the Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate thread! This will be our headquarters for coordinating our Hunts, sharing stories of war, and helpful hints for our brothers-in-arms, compatriots, friends, and neighbors. Please be mindful of folks' different definitions of "spoilers," and remember that not EVERYBODY played Monster Hunter Tri on the Wii, though everybody totally should've.


The "burden" of running this thread has been placed upon me but...I can't do it alone. I will lean on Maxi and others to help with the heavy lifting occasionally, both in planning things and also in feeding this thread. Please keep it bumped (once we get going). If you could, let us know if you're getting this game, WHEN you're getting this game, and what your aspirations are so we can get us situated in groups with likeminded people. Do you want to barely play this game? Is this going to be your new #1? The most fun with this game is had when you get to go out with a group of guys week in week out, so if we can find someone with a schedule similar to yours, you'll have the most fun with it.

EDIT- Haha, isn't "my time" and "your time" the same thing??
EDIT2- MIGHT be beggin' off of tomorrow night. Gotta see how tomorrow goes; I'll update as we draw closer. "Sorry" in advance to Mikey (and whoever else) if I poop out in an attempt to be a better husband. (I want +10 Husband like Ludist, too..)

I got to the 7 star quests in the offline mode today. Man, that last 6 star quest is a beast. Much harder than the 6 star urgent. I should probably upgrade my D if I want to be more successful at that one.

Hey, it was neither of our faults. I got caught in his barrage when he was mad, and you kept getting hit when you were trying to eat (and you weren't that close to him). Still, he got caught. Boom.

EDIT: Oh yeah, closing in on 60 hours already. Double my next most played Wii U game.

Got the DLC earlier; I THINK we should be able to do at least one of 'em this time around (maybe even two). Gigginox Hunts Extreme and something else. Next week looks bonks.

Update on our Paw Pass earlier, I DID find enough Gracium to be "all I need for now," so thats cool. I still need, like, 4 complete Barioth+'s to make everything else I gotta do, haha! (I need 10 -- TEN -- Pelt+s for one of my weapons, and Claw+s for like 4 additional swords. Goofy.)

...hey, is anyone else's Wablet acting goofy since the update over the weekend? Mine is having trouble staying connected, even 5 feet away from the console. It's a little frustrating to have it cut out so much. It hasn't been dropped or anything... but since the update.......

I played a bunch of Madden -and- a bunch of MH since then. I haven't had any issues *knock on wood*. Is it battery stuff? I'm able to plug mine in occasionally when I starts to run out.

Mine is rarely NOT plugged in. I don't think it's ever been below two bars of power. I will attribute it to some interference from other devices for now... unless it gets much worse.

What else do you have around? We have Wi-Fi (of course), and Nikki's laptop is almost CONSTANTLY on around the Wii U / GamePad. iPods, cell phones..
