If you don't know how to get it:

Just kill one of those HUGE dudes (Aptonoth? Can't miss him.) on "Herbivore Breeding" day in The Woods. Also, be sure to stop by..Area 3? and take down a BIG Kelbi with massive horns. I'm not sure if he was around on HB Day in Tri, but he's there CONSTANTLY now.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be on the lookout for the Kelbi too. Never saw it in Tri. I've got a good bit of Kelbi horns in my stash...is it a different type? Super-sized horn?

Should be a Blue Kelbi Horn. NOT a guaranteed carve though, unlike the SSD which is yours -- guaranteed -- per each big fella you take down, in your Hunt Rewards. I was frustrated by it last game; not so this time around.

Q Mulative seems ready to play online, and has gotten into a couple of friend-parties and one or two stranger parties. You might see him randomly join one of your scheduled games.
Jaymonius might be ready to play online, but his work hours are kind of wonky, so you'll have to catch him when he's awake, not at work, and not doing his own thing.
Sidewinder doesn't have his Wii U yet, but is currently using a save file on Q's game to transfer to his 3DS version to play.
Night Mare is still learning the ropes using the Wii edition, Monster Hunter Tri.
We're actually trying to see if there are people in our area willing to meet up for some offline stuff via the Google community "Nintendo Calgary"

Wow, just fought Volvidon for the first time, totally not what i expected. I thought the picture made him look a little different, just like a Red Beast thing, I figured he'd be like a Badger. He's..really kinda like some sort of Armadillo-Weevil though. And HOLY CRAP (punnish), being Dungbombed is NO LAUGHING MATTER. Can't Heal, can't Cool off. WOW. Nasty attack, can't believe it took this long for us to see it.

Finished my Arzuros set last night. My defense went up a good bit. Tried to play an online quest offline, and Barroth had his way with me. How is that a one-star online and it's like a four-star offline?

And @Mr_Mustache, I popped on Network Mode three different times last night and saw you playing in Local Mode, so I couldn't join you (and I wasn't near my laptop to message you on here).

So is anyone playing this on the 3DS as well? I don't have a WiiU so of course it's tricky finding people who own a 3DS AND this game. Anyone in the general Chicago area? I'm up in the northern suburbs (Waukegan, Gurnee, near Six Flags, ect).

Turns out I will be on tomorrow sometime after 5p. Should be.. Got the Guild Bard set last night. Man, that thing is SHARP looking. I MIGHT give Cryojin a run for his money.. (though he has access to an iridescent tophat, and that is tough to work against)

I mention it all the time, but I'm curious if anyone else actually does it. Is it kinda nuts? Well, yeah, and no.

I'm talking about "Weapon Trees." I have every Sword & Shield available to me, or in the process of being "saved up for." Pretty much every Sword & Shield that I'm using came from one of two Swords; the Hunter's Knife (Steel) or the Bone Kris (Bone). From there, Family Tree style, they branch out, splitting one of two (or three) ways, and then those split off, and so on down the line. Did I start every one at Bone Kris? No, but you can see that Bone Kris becomes Ludroth Claw (or something), and you can Forge that outright instead of Upgrading to it. Make sense?

I have..I forgot what I told Anand, something like 17 S&S in the process. Its basically the top two lines of my Equipment box, with spaces to keep them separated in my head. Anyway, I ask because our good friend Anando has been using one Gunlance the whole game, haha, and he hadn't been using a Fire weapon because he didn't have the materials..but he may've happened upon a Fire weapon that he DID have the materials for through the process of "Tree Management" I'm calling it. You might be able to Upgrade one of your weapons before Forging a brand new one, know what I mean? I've DEFINITELY seen it easier to Upgrade instead of Forging sometimes, especially since they often require different (and sometimes lesser) parts. Hold out for an extremely rare carve and an expensive weapon, or be a little more frugal and use some more common parts? Makes sense to me (and without the Tree....or the INTERNET, UGH...you won't know what you're potentially missing).

Anyway, its freakin' mint. Everyone should do it. Chances are you can start now (if you haven't) with little effort on some of your older weapons; you'll have TONS of parts from materials you've harvested repeatedly, and the lower monsters you've hunted a ton of in the past. You might surprise yourself just how simple / organized it can be. Nearly every single monster we hunt helps me with SOMETHING. (That is, until we get to the next tier(s) and I pretty much need EXCLUSIVELY Gracium, Firecell Stones, and Barioth+ parts. WEIRD.)

Is there a way to keep this skin, I like this one.

Yeah, the MH Tri skin. Unfortunately I need 125,000xp, but only have 19,000xp. Guess I need to find some more stuff to post on other than MH3U.

Uhhh, there used to be an XP Building Game up there. Have you added more games to your collection? That might help. If you have some games to ADD that aren't in the database, that works, too.

EDIT- Oh, duh; under "Games" up there, play the NEQ. That'll give you points in CHUNKS.
