Awesome, awesome day; my Monster Hunting lasted a total of 14.5 hours (I hunted with SIX different NW'ers) before it MYSTERIOUSLY FROZE on me at 4:29am. Nintendo needs to get on this, and tell my why my Wii U froze after 15 hours of power time. WHAT THE F. Anyway, Colorful Beasts was, as Lou put it, harrowing, and the "Guess Who!" DANGER guys on the missions were pretty "WOW" as well. Wasn't ready for a lot of that stuff, and much of it was skin of your teeth situations. Can't remember how many times we won after having two Faints on our team. Speaking of fainting, encountered my 3rd Faint (non-Arena) after being Poisoned on the Double Wroggi mission, and forced to roll, roll, dive, roll instead of using an Antidote. Death by Poison? How dare you.

Tuesday Night will be my next time on, and I can play A BUNCH on Friday after 5ish pm EST. Late Thursday after 10pm could work for me, too. Also, for those not in the know, Return of the Jhen tomorrow, so we should get a posse out there. I'll be home after 10pm EST then, too. YIKES!

I am at the mercy of Nikki's schedule. Playing Friday night, and she conked out, so thats the end of that..

As for Sunday afternoon, not sure I can do what I did yesterday for a while. Neglected the little lady..a lot.

It just depends on what I'm able to get done around the house while Laura is gone. I'll probably Saturday evening and off and on most of Sunday afternoon and evening.

The patch is live, North Americans! Off-TV Play works, but I can't figure out how to get the HUD and map to display on the Gamepad while I'm playing on it...

So much for ever getting out of bed.

Fiddle with the panels before switching to off-tv play. Any panel that ISN'T set on the touchscreen will appear on the TV, and hopefully, on the small screen for off-TV play. I got tired of looking down to see my health, so I switched it to appear on the tv by replacing that panel with the Shakalaka's health bars. I also made my items appear on the TV.

Slowly but surely knocking out some offline quests solo, trying to build up my armor and upgrade my weapon. I need to find some Machelite Ore in the worst way (and a couple of more Earth Crystals, but I know where to find that).

No problem.

It appears my Monster Hunter related anxiety has returned. This is the only game that has caused chest tightness and headaches.

Or I'm just having heart attacks.

EDIT- OFF TV STUFF: Don't we have MULTIPLE PANEL SETS for this very reason?? I seem to remember seeing you be able to set it as you want it, and save it as 1, 2, or 3, kinda like the Equipment Sets. Makes sense to at least have a "Full TV" and an "Off TV" set, yes? Bonzo.

Malachite Ore -- early on -- was INCREDIBLY ANNOYING to allocate. No real "special" mining areas to grab it, just know that there is a higher incidence the Plains and the Forest. Island Area 12 (witwh the Aquaglow Jewels) seems to be SLIGHTLY better, too. I feel your frustration though, totally.

As for anxiety, after my gigantic session on Sunday, my Monday had MH thoughts popping in my head all day. I didn't play the game at all yesterday, and I slept horribly last night. Yes, I think they're moderately related. (I was at work forever though, and messed my night up, ugh.) I had random thoughts about Zynogre Fur yesterday. NOBODY ELSE DOES THAT.

So yeah, haha. I need it tonight, man, I'm crawlin' up walls! Not sure EXACTLY what time I'll be on. Sometime after 11p.

I found three in Area 12 when I was just messing around, before reading your post actually. Now that I've got "No Love For Ludroth" quest available, I may undertake that tonight just to go farm some more stuff. I need some more Machelite Ore (I think two) and some Carpenterbugs (I think five total, but I have yet to catch one). This should complete my armor set (Hunter's Armor for the Blademaster class) and upgrade my weapon to Bone Axe+. I could easily buy my armor from the blacksmith, but where's the fun in that?

I set my Off-TV panel to be totally blank as Set 2. Set 1 is the default. The pointer on the map is a little small on the Gamepad, but it's still useable.

Oh yeah, so I've got a Voucher in my inventory...where do I redeem that again? It's been a while.

Getting re-addicted to this game again. Can't wait to keep hunting.

Again. I don't read anything online so this is all observational stuff; I first noticed Carpenterbugs in the Felynx' Lair in the caves near the signpost. Do you know what I'm talking about? Its the Area that links to the Jaggi Den and also..Area 3? Try that out. And right, where IS the fun in BUYING armor? I fully agree.

Voucher is used for eating from the Cat Cook Dude. I don't think you have access to that Offline yet, but it is readily available Online. And they don't seem to be as rare as they were in Tri. ALSO, when SOMEONE cashes in a Voucher, EVERYONE reaps the rewards. I don't remember that happening in Tri, though it quite possibly could've. (Anand was upset about not being able to Mooch meals anymore, so maybe some stuff did change?)
