Mr_Mustache said:Do people want to play ALONE though constantly? That's how the Monster Hunter fanbase played those games for years. It's what they are used to. At least, until recently, when Sony added the "Ad-HOC Party" feature to the PS3, which allowed any local multiplayer game on PSP to play online through the PS3. But even then it wasn't a big community, because so few people did Ad-HOC party, and because WHO THE HECK PLAYS PS3. Seriously. And then of course, the Wii game was online, so the community was able to experience multiplayer much easier. I dunno, the whole game is mind-numbing IMO, whether with people or alone. I don't get the interest with this franchise, just not my cup of tea. |

I'll be picking it up on Wii U, and just might double-dip with the 3DS version. I can't see both versions even really being close, sales-wise. The 3DS must have... idk, 6-10x the install base of the Wii U in western territories? I think it will do alright on Wii U because of a few factors: 1) it'll be one of the few games on the system with online MP 2) it'll be one of, if not THE, only RPG on the system (not ever obviously, just by the time it comes out) and 3) there's probably a decent-sized group of people who will pick up a console just to play it. We all should pick up at least one version of the game. Not only because it's awesome, but also because it might increase our chances of getting MH4 in the west. If you don't, you'll find a flaming bag of poo with a certain (poorly drawn) Spider-Man villain on it >:) Mr_Mustache said: --BTW, MH3U should be mandatory for NW Users, haha!
