I feel like the slow kid because I've already put 4 1/2 hours in and still have a little bit left... but then I did get stuck in the Twins' area for more than an hour because I didn't realize that you were supposed to switch to another character. I thought the twins alone had to do everything and that the others were just plain locked out at the gate.
The character specific areas really do feel like the real meat of the game. I'd like to see them all.
Just finished my first playthrough. Was fun. Going to start another right away. I still don't know if I will end up doing a third. It's going to be tough to get motivated to do the third if the only unique thing about it is one character's section, and all of the rest is just rehashing.
Took the hillbilly, knight, and scientist. Adventurer is the only one I haven't used yet.
Yeah, I kind of lost steam during my third playthrough, I don't really feel like doing the adventurer's section again. I picked her because I had somehow missed one of her cave paintings.
Well I finished my second playthrough. Went way faster than the first one... obviously in part because I knew the solutions to the rehashed parts, but I also just think my second trio of characters had easier character-specific sections than my first set.
I decided to go through a third playthrough after all. Picked two characters with easy parts in addition to the third (Adventurer) that I haven't done yet. It's annoying to have to do so much over just to get one unique section, but I think I can burn through most stuff pretty quickly now.
I got "stuck" for 2 hours at the end because of a glitch... tried everything and didn't realize that the game was just broken. On the island, be sure to not push that boat into the first reservoir until it is full of water.
I will probably start my second playthrough tomorrow. As far as good and bad endings? Yeah, I'll just go ahead and look at those all on YouTube in the end.
When the water filled up the reservoir, the boat got stuck in a way where it couldn't be pushed or pulled to the other side.
I went about my merry way thinking this was normal until after a couple hours when I made no progress, decided that I must be hopelessly stupid, and consulted a guide. Oh... a glitch. Haha. Pretty sloppy, really. This is definitely something that should have come up in playtesting!
Apparently if you have your characters insist on giving their object of desire back before leaving the cave the damage is undone and the characters learn the proper lessons from the experience.
Not really all that exciting from a gameplay perspective, so it isn't worth replaying for such a minor difference... YouTube!
Makes the game a little less dark, which is interesting.
