I just got home from Gamestop moments ago, having picked this charming thing up.

I've only just turned it on even and already the 3D looks pretty amazing.

Rumor has it that this game has some confusing backtracking that can be tricky to some, so lets use this thread to discuss the game and help each other out if need be! Good luck!

@Zero

Ask Kersti. If you're in a room with a ghost, she will tell you. That should help narrow it down. Make sure you check EVERY area in the level too--not everything is necessarily inside the mansion.

@TriforceBun Hmm, I didn't know her answers were room specific. I asked her once while walking around and got nothing and figured she just had nothing to say.

I did already get the one in front of the mansion and the one outside on the left after breaking a window.

My only complaint with this game so far are the boss battles. I hate how you have to have the correct "thing" sticker in order to stand a chance against a boss.

Right now I'm stuck on the boss in 3-12. I've tried a couple different stickers that didn't do much, so I really don't know how to proceed. I don't really want to try every sticker and hope one works.

Besides the first 2 bosses, I found that it's not too difficult to be able to "guess" what the boss of the worlds would be weak to. I managed to bring the right stuff to those battles.

@TriforceBun

Hmmm...I went through the objects I've collected so far and haven't been able to guess correctly. I'll just have to look through the list again.

@canonj

I managed to beat the first boss through sheer grit and determination, 2nd boss not so much.

@chrisbg99

So did I! That one was actually doable.

@TriforceBun I guess, but I wasn't even expecting a boss in the ghost mansion although maybe I should have been considering how long that stage is. Got into the battle, realized I didn't have what I needed had to run from it.

Oh, and I did finally get through that stage using the hint from Kerwhateverhernameis, the one I was missing was the um... actually I forget the one I was missing. Some random object you have to hit with a hammer or something.

At the end boss, was doing pretty well... until I freaking ran out of stickers. Ug.

/EDIT Ok, finished.

I think I really liked this game. It's tough to figure out how it relates to the other Paper Mario games though. Not quite as RPGish as the first two, but more RPGish than Super Paper Mario.

Just downloaded this yesterday. Can't wait to get started!

So I dove in over the last few days and made my way through World 1 (all six stages) and started to fill out the sticker museum. I enjoy the combat (even sans experience points) and the dialog is brilliant as ever. The 3D effect is pretty cool, and the graphics and music are about what I'd expect from a Paper Mario game.

My only question is about the door outlines I see. I'm assuming the stickers I need will become available later in the game?

I finished W1 and I wasn't even aware of a Sticker Museum. I guess I should explore more?

I'm also wondering when I'll get the door stickers. The outlines are everywhere and I'm not looking forward to revisiting each and every place.

@Guillaume

I found it by accident when I was just messing around: Free the Toad that got stuck under Decalburg when you unrolled it. Paperize in front of the fountain and the house behind it gets unlocked once all is said and done. The sticker museum is your reward.

@Guillaume You get the door stickers somewhere in world 3 I believe. You won't miss it.

Okay, so I managed to find the third sticker crown, the one in the forest. I have not found the second yet. I am assuming its in the desert level where there is a sand storm. How do I continue that level? I have no idea what item to use. I already unlocked the fourth and fifth worlds, but I still didn't beat world two...

I'm on world 2 as well and haven't come across the Sticker museum yet. Bummer. And I only just noticed the "organize stickers" option. That helped a bit. I need to play this more. Seems I'm in the middle of a million games right now.

I need to get back on this.
01/07/13, 05:09
I'm right near the end of the game. But before I finish it I want to complete the sticker museum and find all the heart upgrades. And since I don't feel like revisiting every single level, I'm using a guide to figure out which levels have "things" that I'm missing.

I'm in World 2 as well. I started thinking like the game does and am a fan of using Kersti when I'm stumped. Here's what I just did:

Found 2-4 hidden within 2-3. Went to it, giant sandstorm. Couldn't do anything. Kersti suggested I go check out Surfshine Harbor. I couldn't get the boat free (I'm assuming I need scissors or a saw or something to cut the rope), but I found a vacuum. I noticed what appeared to be a plug near the source of the sandstorm, so I tried the fan first (fail) and then the vacuum (win). I could finally read the hint there and am headed back to 2-1.

Is that where you're stuck, Scrawnton?

Finished world 2! Getting 2-5 to appear properly took some doing, and the boss wasn't that hard once I knew what to do...I actually almost beat him without using the baseball bat. The first time got owned. The second, used it at the wrong time. The third...well, when I used my big sticker, he was down to less than 70 HP and was woozy, so that was easy.
