I started playing this game again - A cold, rainy day - perfect conditions to sink into the world of Zelda all over again. This game officially made me a fan of the series so it will always hold a special place in my heart.
A Link to the Past - to play then, now and in the future!
The only flaw I think is that it's technically possible to beat the dungeon without obtaining the Moon Pearl, possibly leaving the player in the dark as to why they are a bunny in the Dark World if they're not paying attention.
@Mr_Mustache Excuse me? I've beaten Zelda 2 so excuse me but I do not think I have been coddled and Navi never coddled you anyway.
The 3rd Dark World Dungeon is a massive difficulty increase compared to the second Dark World Dungeon. And not just in the Dungeon layouts, the boss is a massive jump in difficulty. The previous boss had 2 attacks, 1 for each phase while this boss has 3 attacks/obstacles happening at the same time in the same phase with barely any lead up to it at all.
@TheOldManFromZelda Tower of Hera is possibly the worst dungeon in the history of Zelda. Short, no good puzzles and the boss is just annoying, not difficult.
I think I usually do the Thieves' Den first. By the time I usually get to the 3rd dungeon I think I tend to have a couple more hearts than I'm supposed to.
Please don't think of me as bragging - but I never noticed a real jump in difficulty - yeah it was tougher then the 2nd but not as tough as you make it sound - and the boss was freaking easy with the fire rod - the dungeon treasure right? - Much easier (boss) then most...
It's there, you may not notice it but it exists on a design level. Moving floors and moving spikes had only just been introduced and the player had little time to not only get used to them but also the boss attacking at the same time.
Been playing Triforce of the Gods (i.e. Japanese ALttP) on my recently pegs removed SNES and well it is ALttP but in Japanese.
One weird thing I did notice though are the title screen and file select screen. Mostly just black screens. Honestly feels kind of like they couldn't finish those two screens before release.
