I got this yesterday and I'm really enjoying the main story. I played it until WAY TOO LATE last night and had to wake up way too early this morning. I'll probably repeat the process tonight.

@gojira
You mean that fireball she can shoot out isn't considered magic? Wh-what is it?????

Maybe, but I never use it so I kinda forgot about that move.

edit: Turns out I only had to survive that level and not defeat the enemies. I probably could've beat that level a long time ago if I was paying attention. At least the grinding left me prepared for the couple of levels after. I still lost to the final boss once but overall I was fine.

Haven't checked in here in a while, but I started enjoying the game a lot more once I started powering up. This seems like a game where your character starts out somewhat gimped, and eventually becomes overpowered (unless you hit a difficulty spike). Which is fine. The combat became a lot better once I started juicing up the speed and equipping some decent items. (Still just using the main character so far.)

Also, the presentation is really nice! It's a bit talky, but the dialogue is charming and the voice acting is great. I particularly like Solange's voice actress.

I haven't jumped online at all yet, though.
