Did anyone else pick this up?! I got it and played about a half hour, it's pretty neat! Gameplaywise it feels almost like an old school Castlevania but with the new Metroidvania progression... of course the characters and such are Indiana Jones inspired. There are all kinds of secrets and stuff too, although at times it can be a bit obtuse as to where to head next. Hmm, and the buttons are weird, especially for menus, they are reversed from how I would usually expect them and it makes navigating menus a chore. Otherwise, it's a pretty neat game so far.
Got the Feather, got the Gauntlet (which is super neat).
Stuck again. There's this goddamn subboss in the Twins Labyrinth who I CANNOT kill. I don't want to go buy gun Ammo. Even with the shield and a fairy he's an asshole. All this time-freezy, dodge my attacks bullshit.
Just tell me is that where I probably have to go next or is there some other places I can go first?
@Shadowlink No you probably don't have to do the Twin Labyrinths next. Also you're supposed to take on that sub-boss with an item you don't have yet, but it's beatable without it. Wouldn't recommend it, though. I had to use about 50 spears and a few dozen rolling shuriken, and it took like ten minutes...
Not sure where you can go first, but the Twin Labyrinths were one of the later areas I explored fully.
The annoying thing is I'm sure I have the solution to get that chest in the middle of the Moon Temple, I just can't get to the spot to try it out. WARGG
@Shadowlink Which chest? There's one blue one that can only be opened after you get four other chests to appear in the room. And to do that, you'll need to gather the clues about Eden and go where they lead...
@Shadowlink Ah, I was thinking of a different room. You're probably right, then. But I don't think you'll be getting to that spot for a while yet either. But it's always so hard to say for sure in this game.
As for where you can go now...have you found Eden yet? I think you could probably get there, everything you need is in the Moonlight Temple I think. As long as you've found those Eden clues...
So yeah, here I am thinking I need more Eden clues. By complete accident I realise that contrary to what I first thought, SOME of the broken tablets actually have info on them and arent just blank. Cue me scouring the entire game rescanning the broken tablets I skipped.
Found some stuff that might have actually come in handy earlier, but is just redundant now seeing as I figured out the related puzzles ages before.
Anyway, my wanderings left me stumped. No useful info. No new places to go. just frustration. On the plus side I did find the fourth Ankh (solved the Wedjet puzzle almost by accident), and set off to kill Bahumut in the hopes of getting somewhere new.
So a few hours ago, thanks to my blue fairy sidekick, I took out the boss. New Laptop? Yes. New item or area to explore? No. GYAH.
Cue more aimless wandering around the Temple of Moonlight trying to figure out the riddles...when it hits me. The Face of Highest rank clue that I thought I solved DIDN'T refer to the topmost face on the column which ended up retracting the roof and giving me lift access between the lower and upper areas... It refered to something else entirely. And when I found that solution....the meanings of the other clues thudded into place!
@Shadowlink You should be able to solve them now, I think.
A fool went left. Another fool went right. What does the wise man do? (I lucked out and solved that one instantly).
The fallen item took me much longer. Basically just keep pressing down as you run around, I guess? That seemed to be what the hint was getting at to me...
Well the obvious answer is go neither way. That...didn't seem to work. I figured it might be more complicated than that. To do with flows and smotherings . I dunno. I'll try again...
I figured that was the solution to the item too, but buggered if I know *where* to do that. I'll keep searching I guess.
