Did anyone else pick this up?! I got it and played about a half hour, it's pretty neat! Gameplaywise it feels almost like an old school Castlevania but with the new Metroidvania progression... of course the characters and such are Indiana Jones inspired. There are all kinds of secrets and stuff too, although at times it can be a bit obtuse as to where to head next. Hmm, and the buttons are weird, especially for menus, they are reversed from how I would usually expect them and it makes navigating menus a chore. Otherwise, it's a pretty neat game so far.
@Shadowlink Did you find the Holy Grail? That's the main concern in the first area. I'd recommend getting that before venturing too far beyond the Gates of Guidance. It just makes things more convenient.
@Shadowlink Hahaha that one got me too. You probably have the right order. If you're thinking like I was, then you just have to be a little more...thorough with each one.
The Holy Grail isn't there, though. Make sure to ask skeletons for help!
@carlosrox Why don't they just make a unified account so that you continue to own your games even if something perfectly normal happens like your system dying over time?
You can always transfer your library to Wii U. I did that last year when my Wii started dying. Thus avoiding Xbob's complaints .
Well that worked great
@Xbob42 It is really asinine how dedicated they are to being backwards with this decision, hopefully they fix it soon. I do not want to lose my 100 odd games I own on the 3DS and Wii U combined.
It should be tied to account, not system. Tying it to the system is the ENTIRE PROBLEM.
I'd buy that argument if it wasn't for Microsoft and Sony's much vaunted account system *not* allowing you to move stuff to the next gen. An account system is clearly not a guarantee of access to content.
I'll take Nintendo's sub-optimal solution over their competitors non-existent version any day of the week.
....But I've been over that a pile of times before. Let's not let the thread divert too much
@Shadowlink I never claimed that Sony or MS did it right, either. Just because your neighbor beats your wife, that doesn't mean you NOT beating your wife automatically makes you a great husband.
They all need to allow your libraries to transfer from console to console. (For games that can reasonably be transferred.)

This is the best analogy I have ever witnessed in the existance of the web.
My point was, as long as I *have* the ability to transfer my games, the *method* used to do it becomes a bit of a moot point in the end. Yes an account system would be nice, but I ended up at the same place without too much trouble so I'm not going to complain very loudly.
To continue the husband wife analogy, ok so flowers and candelight dinners aren't laid on every second day. But the relationships still good .
I like to think of it like my wife is in a coma, and Nintendo allows you to transfer your wife's ghost into a new robot body, while Sony and Microsoft are telling you to get out there and start dating again.
@Shadowlink Pretty sure you can't get everything there on your first trip. You seem to be doing all right, I didn't kill the snake boss until way later.
I'd recommend getting the Holy Grail if you haven't yet. You can feel pretty good about exploring new areas if you have that, at least. If you have the map, pay attention to room names...
