Game is out tomorrow Feb. 7th in North America, and it's been out for a few weeks in Europe already. This thread will be for discussing the game (be sure to spoiler tag story elements please) and I encourage every owner to post their 3DS code so we can meet up for some Raid Mode online action.
I wasn't supposed to work today. All the schools I sub at had no work for me. Luckily last minute a sub cancelled and I got called to work this morning and I made a days worth of pay. So I took my $25 gift card and extra cash I made today and went to GameStop and picked the game up. They got a new shipment in today. Unfortunately I did not get "Revilaitons" like I wanted, but oh well.. I am really shocked at how amazing this game looks on the 3ds. I never woulda thought handheld games would ever each this point in control and depth.
I'm trying to go through the story so I can unlock some missions so I can play online. I understand why capcom made the missions unlocks able (so you can't start the game with powerful guns) but I am really interested in this online mode and it's all I wanna do....
Just finished episode 2 - I'm enjoying the game so far. I'm using control set up "B" with 'fast' aiming and it seems to work fine. Running while holding the B button allows you to move more freely in the game IMO - then you just let go of the button if you want to strafe. The health thing bugs me though.. I wanted to see a health 'meter' of some sort..even if it just pops up on screen for a second. Reading the blood on the screen is hard to judge - I'm not sure if i can take 1..or 2 attacks left sometimes..and that's just the basic enemies.
@Scrawnton Oh man I should have tried GS today, I didn't think they'd be getting a second shipment so soon. Yeah I'm kinda sad I'm not going to get a Revelaitons copy, guess I missed the boat on that one.
@deathly_hallows I saw it at the 14th Street (Union Square) Gamestop when it first released, but that was when I haven't really decided whether or not to buy it yet. Haven't seen it since. I'll be looking around Staten Island today. One person at Best Buy told me one of the Best Buys in Brooklyn has it in stock but I forgot which one unfortunately.

I don't like this system very much--I'd rather just have a RE4 life bar on the bottom screen, or even the semi-vague "Caution/Danger" life bar from the REmake. The blood/grayscale really interferes with the game's graphics when you're trying to get around and check things out.
In the middle of Ch. 5 and enjoying the game a lot. I'd say it's definitely the best 3rd-party 3DS game.
Agreed, it's not the best indicator of health... and it can get annoying. At least green herbs are pretty abundant, and you can get them by scanning too. I fear for Hell Mode, though!
Finished Episode 5 last night, good stuff. There was one puzzle on the ship that was simple but fun. Though I didn't care for the water enemies, they jump out at you too quickly. There were a couple of customization kits I spotted but couldn't reach... hopefully I can grab them later or something.
Yeah, what is with that guy's accent? I don't even think it's Bostonian, he just sounds like a whiny douche. The black guy is cool though. I always chuckle at their "entrance" music, the hip-hop beat.
Just beat chapter three. I am loving the game play and ambiance of the boat so far. I love the setting, it's just fantastic. That first boss fight was great and the part with chris on the ground was great as well. I just unlocked some raid mode stuff so I am gonna try that out for a bit now.
Quint & Keith are two of the worst characters in the whole series...ugh, I will be hearing "GRINDA!" over and over in my nightmares. It was like Salazar (RE4) and Irving (RE5) levels of obnoxiousness, and then multiplied by 1000.

You know, I hear people say this a bit, but I only find one of them obnoxious (the higher-pitched Joe Pesci type). The other one seems alright enough.
I'm thinking so too. He seems like he's all business (like Leon was towards Ashley in Resident Evil 4). She did have a great line when she was coming to Chris' aid.
@anon_mastermind you unlock raid mode levels 1 - 7 after beating chapter 3. You have to click on the mission icon under the missions menu to unlock it.
