Genius Sonority (Pokémon spinoff dev) has developed an AR RPG loosely translated to "Electric Wave Person RPG" for release on the JP eShop. Looks kinda fun: you use the AR to find little Pikmin-like creatures and then use them in turn-based battles. Check out the video. (Link)
Yeah that would probably be very useful The one I have right now has a medium healing ability which is just healing around 80hp or so. I just don't want to walk around town checking my 3DS every few minutes to see if I can get better characters...
EDIT: Apparently I caught all the Denpa Men in my area and it doesn't even let me use that mode in this spot now... boo
So I grabbed the game. Trish drove to Walmart and I held onto my 3DS in the passenger seat. I found a shiny guy but I'm not 100% sure if I caught him. Do they stay "shiny" in the house? I think I missed him and grabbed the guy behind him. Boo.
I'm currently in the cave with the frog thingies. This game is pretty addictive!
I might fall back on a QR code if I get desperate enough. However, I'm not above whipping it out in public and waving it around frantically trying to catch men.
Wait, what?
EDIT- Just couldn't resist when I saw that QR code sitting there. Thanks!
I was afraid QR code ones would retain the level that they actually were, which would make things a bit unbalanced if I downloaded a level 30 guy while the rest of my team's level 10. So they really serve as a great way for those people that can't find too many denpa men
@kgtennispro i agree about the qr codes. i dont have time at my job to search for denpa men outside of my house, i cant take it to work with me. i havent tried takign it outside yet, but that is on the docket for when i get home.
it is nice to know that if i steal someone elses denpa, i still have to level it. I found some QR codes for denpa men at another website, some of them have attributes that give bonus gold after fights and one always guarentees the dropping of an item at the end of a fight, it would be great to discover these things on my own; however, that is not reasonable.
as it stands today, i think this is the best game on the eshop. it is surprisingly deep and worth the $10!
I played the demo this weekend and thought it was fun. I think I may get it this evening when I get home. I finished the demo with one healer and two guys who could revive...I barely made it! I will need to spend more time going up levels, and I may grab Cohen.
has anyone found a denpa men that shares the same name as you? I know the gimmick of the game is that you can eventually find one that shares your name, but I probably wont encounter one with mine.
I still can't get those QR codes to work... oh well
EDIT: I don't think I can clear out this area. The enemies doing fire damage to my entire team are ridiculously hard. Plus you can't even use normal attacks against them and the only one that works well is one I can only use once per turn.
I was able to get those QR codes to work. I didn't keep the Denpa Men I got from them though because half the fun for me is finding them all over the city.
@kgtennispro I found one guy with Tiny Rage (All) in my guest room. I spent about fifteen minutes waiting for him to return after I missed catching him. What a ridiculous game!
So I just decided to go out for a walk for the heck of it. It's in this trail next to where I live so I was surprised to get so many different Denpa Men!
I got myself a bunch of red ones which I need for this area and even some that are multicolored so they're resistant to more than one element! I also got a few new skills. Hot Blanket (All), Ice Blade, Dodge and Great Insult (?). Also got myself another Water Cannon which should prove to be very useful! And on top of that, I got a StreetPass!
