So Maple Treeway feels a little gimped to me. It's definitely shorter. Blah!
Now, this is the first time I have actually taken the time to read posts that were made in this thread. Seriously. So, I will start with this one...
I actually went to youtube and watched a video of Maple Treeway before commenting, but I thought I was right in thinking that the course is not shorter than the Wii one. So, what gives Plooter?
Now, there is some cosmetic changes here and there, but otherwise its the same exact course. Most major difference is at the end, the Wii version has that netting you can drive on and the 3DS version does not.
A message to the people of Mario Kart 7 and gamewizard65.
If you guys want to take another stab at a Mario Kart 7 league, or whatever, the Mario Kart Wii league wraps up the fall session next week. On August 17th, you guys could be completely up and running on Friday night without having to worry about splitting a group. Of course, some of the Wii people might finally go out on Friday nights for the first time in 12 weeks, too, haha.
@gamewizard65 Yeah, I've since realized. The absence of the netting made it seem shorter for some reason. That was my first impression of my first run through it I think.
That was cool on the DS Airship stage earlier tonight when you tried to get me with your tanooki tail and I had one as well. I don't think either one of us ended up getting each other. hee,hee

It's like when I saw a guy from Japan on my PS3 and had the Star Ocean: Till the End of Time platinum trophy. That takes somewhere between 400-1000 hours to get!
I'd love to do this. I wish Amanda could play with us. Who knows, maybe by the time you start, I'll have a 3DS XL and can giver her my old system. I already have a bid for a game on eBay for $50, woop woop.
OKAY, so, here's the plan. Getting my 3DS XL on Sunday, 9/2 at KMart. Getting a copy of Mario Kart 7 with the $40 Gift Card. Giving Amanda my old 3DS. I'll see if she wants to participate in a league.

Anybody else having issues handling Mario Kart on the XL? I gripped the original 3DS in a certain way for that game... Need to find my new comfort zone!
With so many 3DS goodies arriving and the 8th installment of the Mario Kart coming to the Wii U... How about we blow off the dust with some online races?
