I don't even know how the communities work. I saw you post something about items and no items and what not. I may..... have time to do a league similarly to the one for the Wii but that's left to be determined.
Hey, what gives?! I thought the review thread was also going to be the discussion thread! Quit confusing me!
Anyways, Not sure what to do. I want and can afford the game, but I need to finish SS and SML 3D. If I buy this game now, I think I'll overload myself and not finish one of the other games. I think I might wait this one out a couple weeks. I'm not super excited about the game, still I want the game, so who knows. Maybe I will go out and get it and just leave it in the case until I finish SML3D.
@DrFinkelsteinThe communities we are just a lobby you make, People put the code in a the group plays together randomly. Yu can set rules when making a community, such as speed, items on or off, etc. I am leaving to get mine in an hour anda I will set up two communities for NW, one with items, one with no items both with 150cc and I will post the codes here. When you join it you just play through the community and you only get matched with people who entered the community.
Getting mine when they open up at noon... the only thing I'm kind of mad about, although maybe wrongly so right now, is that EB had a deal going on where if you bought both Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7 from them, you'd receive a free pin set. I went in Friday and they never received such a bonus to give away. What about the fact that you advertise right on the counter though, making people see that deal and buy them both?
@Scrawnton This, plus it keeps running leaderboards.
Anyone can create the community, we will add the code to the OP. Be sure to jot down the settings as well, eg. 150cc, all items. We can have different rule sets for different communities.
So hard not to buy this game right now, but it will make Christmas all the sweeter when I finally get it and will make sure I get some work done during finals.
So I love the inclusion of Rally races. Yes, even if two of the three are Wuhu. Loads of fun! Slightly disappointed in the blue shell. Its redesign is purely cosmetic as it works the same as its past few iterations.
I love Music Park, and the music on the first track of the Star cup is pretty nifty.
I didn't realize tricks are still in the game until I was on the Special Cup. Haha, just tap R on jumps.
Those are just my quick notes. I want to try some online now! @VofEscaflowne
@PogueSquadron I already have you registered so I'll look for ya!
Think about it, your whizzing around the course at neckbreak speeds and out of nowhere a blue shell, lightening bolt or whatever smacks the hell out of you. Of course you are going to lose whatever is laying around in the kart. And even if you was holding onto said item, still when you get hit you know you are going to let go to try and save yourself from a wreck.
I turned my system back on and went to online friends and I clicked on " join game" under ploots name. It loaded up Mario kart and I picked my kart and it says "joining ploot"
It is taking a while but that's because I assume he is in a match.. After three minutes--- communication error.
I've never minded the blue shell, yes it's cheap, but so what, I think it's funny when people like Jim Sterling get all serious and say that the blue shell is a huge design flaw that ruins the game, get over it people, Kart ain't Gran Turismo.
