Welcome to the thread on Negative World where all wondrous Zelda talk can occur. I would recommend that if you wanna talk about deeper-game stuff as we get going, perhaps spoiler-tag it and then describe outside of spoilers where in the game it is. The recent Super Mario 3D Land Discussion Thread is a good example. That'll allow people who aren't too far to read the thread without actually spoiling stuff for them. Just try to be courteous but definitely have fun with the game and discussions!!

Yeah, I find the spoiler tags in the Mario thread a little ridiculous, but in my post I was asking if they were necessary anymore. And people said they were. And later in that thread I still covered my spoilers out of respect.
Zero was just saying he's shocked that yours is the minority opinion. i.e. shocked that even the publications who have been down on motion controls since pretty much the beginning are praising the controls in SS. He's shocked they're so well-received.
Simba, everyone here appreciates the work you did on the site. And everyone appreciates the decent poster you *were*.
But now you've apparently got some massive issue with the leadership of the site these days. I don't know what it is. Nor do I care. Whatever crap has gone down behind the scenes, whatever your prior contribution to the site, NONE of it, gives you the right to act like you've been doing lately. The constant negative posts, the passive-agressive bullshit, the complete victim mentality, the clear disregard you seem to have for this entire site now. I'm tired of it.
Either get over your issues, or just leave the site you appear to hate so much. Either way. Just stop with the crap.It's dragging everything down.
This man has the right idea! From now on, anything NOT about Zelda: Skyward Sword Discussion is getting deleted from this thread by me. Nobody told me to take that stance but I will. Take any complaints or arguments to the land of Private Messages. Lets keep this thread on-topic and not in a "save file" sense.
While I don't have the same opinion you do on the motion controls, I totally respect your opinion you have. The motion controls aren't going to win everyone over persay, I mean Gamespot clearly didn't when many others were. But also, some reviewers said that their minds changed as the game progressed and maybe yours will too. But even if it doesn't, no biggie. That's just your opinion. Just wanna let you know I understand what you were saying in your original post.
Yeah, the flight is pretty awesome. I'm much more used to it now and I can't wait to really go explore the sky. I know there's not THAT much to do, but even so, I found one little island today that was a treat and it led me to a neat little side-quest. I'm pretty sure it naturally unfolds as the game progresses but I dunno if that's the case or if I organically found it. All I know is that I'm craving some pumpkin. Which btw, it's a total geek moment when I stab a pumpkin on the tip of my sword and then wave it around before flinging it in whichever direction I desire. Totally cool little tid-bit.
What I find strange is that there is this much touted symbiotic relationship between the loftwings and the people in Skyloft but they don't seem to name them. I guess Link lucked out getting the only red one, at least his is unique.
I was just wondering what happens when a person dies. Does the bird then leave? Or also, what happens when the bird dies prematurely? Does the human get a new bird or just do they luck out?

Is anyone having comfort issues when bowlingthings like pots or bombs or what have you? I guess I'm really glad I'm in a chair, but how are people doing this on a couch?
I don't feel like that's something spoiler-worthy since it's a technique told to you immediately but with a game of this magnitude and uniqueness, it's better to be safe than sorry.
I haven't even tried to do that move but then again, I always play in a chair thus far. Probably always will. Any other seat puts me too far from the tv.
