So there's lots of Xenoblade threads running around. Time for an official thread for impressions game discussion etc.
Whether you're a lucky resident of Europe or Australia, a North American who's decided to flip the bird to Nintendo and import, or even someone who simply wants to live vicariously through the experiences of others, this is the place you want to be!
@Zero Last time I was at the Point I was running a camp. As the school bus drove toward the visitor's centre, I spotted a couple snakes on the road, got the bus to stop and brought them onto the bus and into the centre (I knew some people working there at the time). Good thing the kids weren't ridicu-scared! I have since sort of fallen out of love with snakes. Can't tell you why though. I don't HATE them, but I prefer not to handle them.
Anyway, I am jealous of you Xenoblade people! *pout*
But can you look at pictures of them? I get that some people can't go near them, I've never heard of people not being able to look at pictures of them. Not judging, it's just... interesting.
Anyway, where are all you Europeans and Aussies and Japanese and pretty much everyone outside of the Western hemisphere to talk about the game when we need you?
@Simbabbad I can't say I have that extreme a reaction to anything, regardless of whether I dislike it or not. I guess that means I don't have any phobias.
Hmm, I was about to say the same thing, and then I thought about my fear of heights. I would never, EVER, be able to stand on the top of a sky scraper and look down. Ever.
@casper884 I'm totally scared of heights, and I don't even like taking elevators anywhere. But, I still shocked myself and did this:
That's me standing on the glass floor at the top of Toronto's CN Tower IE one of the highest towers in the world. Was definitely not planning on doing that, heck I wasn't even comfortable with going to the top and looking out. But I did it nonetheless. I think my fear of heights is slowwwwwwwly disappearing.
Except only kind of. My girlfriend was house-sitting at a place that was up on the 4th story and they had and really, really low railings on the spiral staircase that led all the way up to the door. I did not like that at all, no idea how anyone can live in a place like that. But I don't think my girlfriend minded it. Then again she isn't 6'4, she has a much lower center of balance.
@Simbabbad Hey we have a lot of Europeans and Aussies here. Mustache even made a list once.
@Zero That's awesome! They have the same thing at the top of the Space Needle. I'm not a fan of heights, but nowhere near phobia level, but still, stepping out onto that glass was not an easy.
@Zero DAMN YOU, C.N. Tower glass floor! No, no nononononnonononononononoooo... I can't believe people can do that. No. That is something I just can't do.
But see I don't get how people fly in airplanes but can't stand on glass floors. At least I can step off the floor whenever I want. And towers rarely crash in a fiery blaze.
