Between $350 and $400, and coming out late October/early November. Plus some possible hardware and design specs. Nintendo hasn't commented on this, so who knows if it's true. Source
Size is comparable to an original Xbox 360, and the touch screen on the controllers deal is being reaffirmed.
So if you could theoretically stream games from the console to the controller and then play titles on the controller alone, wouldn't that torpedo Nintendo's own 3DS?
If the rumors are to be believed, you can only stream locally. Besides, there are fundamental differences, like the 3DS having 2 two screens, and glasses-free 3D.
This has all gotten out of hand very quickly. I believe the controllers could have screens on,I believe the console will be the most powerful one on the market, but I really don't see it being ready by the end of this year and not at that price point. For me to pay that price it would have to be considerably more powerful than the PS3 or maybe come with two controllers and have a very decent launch line up,which im far from convinced it could possibly have since developers have only had dev kits for a short while.

The controller can't play (run, process) games; it can only display them.
I think the controllers look great. I would love if they looked like that. Of course, I need my Wiimote functionality, but it looks like we may be getting two control schemes anyway.
This all feels sooo legit. What if they plan on launching in Japan by the end of the year? It would absolutely suck the wind out of the sales of Sony's old platforms. But seriously, doesn't this feel like the "leaks" Sony and Microsoft are famous for?

They look like someone jammed a screen in the middle of a controller. What kind of design is that? Did they run out of R&D money and just slap the first thing they thought of together? Talk about lack of innovative design, blech.

I don't mind the look, they just look a little uncomfortable.I know once I have one in my hands they will feel natural, they always do. Im actually quite excited to use them, more so than I was with the Wii remote.
Maybe it is coming this year or early next year and at e3 nintendo is going to announce not only the console but some titles they have been making for it.
Also with the name stream maybe just maybe nintendo might be doing the Onlive thing and streaming games to us? I think that all consoles will go this route eventually but thought nintendo would for sure be the last to adopt it. But maybe just maybe they are going to be the first to do it.
Sony and Microsoft usually lose money on console sales to start so it would make sense for them to never want to release another console and just stream games to the users but nintendo has been making a killing on consoles so maybe im just a dreamer.
Since screens are 'the tech' this gen my prediction is a 3D screen controller is the next Wii Motion Plus (upgrade) we see it around the launch of PS4 & Xbox Next
I'm not saying these mockups are impossible, but look at my roughly to scale drawings and just let it simmer. That is a widescreen formatted 6 in diagonal screen. I have manly hands, and this would be massive in them. it is literally the size of 2 dualshocks.
And can we make one of these the official let's talk about the new console thread?
