I just love the purple(sometimes black and platinum) box!

#10 Alien Hominid

Really fun game that came out towards the end of the GCN's life. Cel-shaded graphics mixed with side-scrolling beat-em-ups in the vein of Metal Slug and Contra. Fun mini-games as well. Plus its Aliens against the Feds, what more could a gamer ask for!

#9 Super Mario Sunshine

Recently changed this because I missed this on the list, and bumped out the previous. This game does have it all, and really pushed the GCN to its limits. Check it out!

#8 Ikaruga

Such a beautiful game, really should not be missed. Hard as heck though, but just such a gem.

#7 Timesplitters 2

Great game here! A lot of fun as far as the campaign modes, multiplayer modes, tons of missions, unlockables and customizable controller settings, this game is the best FPS to grace the GCN, and everyone should check it out. Made by the same people who did the original Goldeneye N64 game.

#6 Super Smash Bros. Melee

Knew this would make it! Such a fun game and the reason to own a GCN. Arguably the best in the franchise.

#5 Paper Mario 2: The Thousand Year Door

Really fun casual RPG. Just a great story with memorable characters and some Nintendo lovin', this game is too damn adorable to deny.

#4 Chibi-Robo!

Just can't get enough of this game, its a total blast, the story is epic and just a true original and gem. Take my word try this if you havn't.

#3 Resident Evil 4

Well theres no denying why this made the list, definitly as close to the top as I could personally get it. This game is awesome, maybe not scary for some, but still makes you jump! This game is really easy to control, the graphics are still top notch, and the gameplay/story is epic!

#2 F-Zero GX

Maybe the best racer ever. This game is so freaking fast and really difficult to master. Tons of unlockables and the most insane tracks you can imagine, this game has it all!

#1 The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

My personal favorite Zelda game, slightly more-so than OoT, but that always causes uproar. I loved the graphics, the cartoony feel to the classic Zelda formula. I even enjoyed the 'horrible' fetch-quest of the piece on the map, I didn't even know it was such a big deal until I came online and read about it. Check this out, the reason to own a Gamecube IMO.

end. Let me know yours!

10. Killer 7 - This game is so f-ed up but very awesome.

9. Tales of Symphonia - While the story, while fun, was so cliched I got a kick out of predicting the next twist, the battle system really sold the game for me.

8. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door - I so very much love the art style for this game and the game was a blast to play as well.

7. Skies of Arcadia Legends - First 3D RPG for me to really enjoy since the beating FF7 and 8 put on my interest in the genre.

6. Pikmin - Reading previews of this game made me fall in love with it. And yes the first one and not 2. Yes 2 is very good but it lacked the initial urgency of the first one that I loved.

5. Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Loved the style from the beginning and the game was great. But to be honest, I liked Twilight Princess more but I prefer the Wii version of that game though I have both. Such a conundrum.

4. Viewtiful Joe - It is pretty rare for a game to beat out a Zelda game for my favorite game of its respective year and this did it. Fantastic mix of beat-um up and platforming.

3. Resident Evil 4 - This game was so great and fun to play. Though it looks like Capcom tapped out the potential after this one.

2. Super Smash Bros. Melee - I remember for many years I had almost no one to play this with and I still maxed out the clock all by my lonesome. Sadly Brawl, as good as it is, couldn't get that from me.

1. Metroid Prime - This is the game that officially got me into the Metroid franchise and I played the hell out of it.

Honorable Mentions: Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 0, Super Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes

There was no way TOS was going out of the Top 3 for me - It's too special and deserves to be in everyones collection. I knew you would cheer me on!

@Smerd

Its unfortunate that a few bad reviews from idiots and the vocal minority draw attention AWAY from that series.
