Yeah it isn't shocking about the Reds, last years NL Central champs and all but the O's are a bit of a surprise.
What is a bigger shock that the Red Sox and Rays are both 0-6. Early in the season but a big surpise.
Also the Bulls are 1 game away from clinching the Eastern Conference season title with their win over the Celtics. First time since the '97-98 season that this has happened. They've got the tie-breaker on the Heat and should be able to get at least one win in the next 4 to keep the Celtics out.
Surprising, and pretty "something." Whats wrong with him? I love when people call someone a "future Hall of Famer" and then this happens. What now? Rafael Palmeiro will never get in because of accusations. Interested to see what'll become of Manny.
Yeah you'd think after the first one he'd think to himself "Hey maybe I should just not do these anymore and coast on my HOF worthy numbers and credentials." But Manny has to be Manny I guess. And generally Manny being Manny means being a total idiot.
On the bright side for me, all this controversy with these huge names means that is more than likely Chipper Jones, my favorite player of all time, is a shoe-in for the Hall of Fame as he has never, to my knowledge, been linked to anything. For this generation being clean is going to give you a huge boost for the Hall of Fame.
Manny Ramirez is an asshole and a crazy person. I'll never forget a couple years ago when the Dodgers were playing the Phillies in the NCLS, and the Dodgers were down in the 9th, and Manny went to hit the showers early. What a disgrace.
I don't think there's any worry about Chipper, haha. He seems like he's a clean dude. It'll be interesting to see how his season goes. I have a small part of me hoping McCann has a really solid year, if only because he's on my fantasy team (my first time doing it)
Speaking of which, and I don't follow wrestling as much as I did when I was about 13, but man...John Cena looks like he swallowed several other muscular athletes. I would not be shocked at all to hear about some HGH being thrown around there. Apparently they have a more rigid drug policy, but man...John Cena practically looks like a completely different guy than he was around 7 years ago. It almost completely destroys the illusion of wrestling to me. There looks like there's no way in hell that half of the guys in professional wrestling could take him on. The guy's a monster.
And anywho, nice to see Cole Hamels bounce back after a horrendous first game. Hopefully the Phils can expect the same out of Cliff Lee this week.
Oh yeah! Didn't they have a million fights earlier in the season? I remember Tim Thomas and Carey Price duking it out (goalies!). Well..they were kinda dukin' it out.. More like playfighting because they felt left out.
