Not looking good for the Cubbies and the ol' BttF prediction!

4% chance of them coming back from down 0-3 in the series. We'll see!

@J.K. Riki

Thats not a 100 to 1 shot! Thats only 25 to 1.

Stupid movie.

LET'S GO METS!

A baseball team coming back from a 3-0 deficit to beat New York in the league championship series and going on to win their first championship since early in the 20th century? Never.
10/21/15, 16:28
@Jargon

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
10/21/15, 16:30
@Jargon

No, not never. 4% of the time.

Since stat keeping began, there have been 32 teams in the position the Cubs are in right now. One has made it through. Can the Cubs? Yep! Would I put money on it? Probably not, but then I avoid gambling because I could very easily (and have in the past, to a small degree) falling into an addiction of it. :)

@J.K. Riki

I think he was making a joke about the Red Sox coming back to beat the Yankees.
10/21/15, 17:06
@TheOldManFromZelda

Right, I know. Everyone is making that joke. I think it's a good thing to place alongside the actual data of how often that happens. We tend to get very narrow sighted. "The Red Sox did it, so the Cubs will too!" That's generally setting up for disappointment, ha ha.

Anyway! I just don't want the Cubs fans to feel even worse when/if they end up out this round. It's no fun anyway, and adding unrealistic hope onto it hurts even more! :)
10/21/15, 18:00
They weren't in that 4%. Sorry Cubs fans. Next year maybe! (Also please don't break our shortstop's leg in 2016 like you did this year, thank you in advance.)
10/22/15, 06:44
This is so exciting! I've never been so optimistic about the Met's chances to win the World Series, no matter who they play. Their depth at pitching is unmatched. I don't expect the offense to keep up every game, but the pitching puts the Mets in a position to win every single time.

This totally makes up for the disappointment of 2006 and the collapses in the years after!!

This also feels totally different than in 2000, where they had to play the asshole Yankees, and you could already tell what the outcome of that series was going to be.

Wow, Matt Kenseth just dumped Joey Logano (won the last 3 races) to the point of rendering his car unable to move, and the crowd is going crazy. Thats the 2nd time that he got to him today, and this retaliation is worse than what Logano did to him weeks ago. I can't say I agree with it. Rotten.

(And now they're sprinkling speedy dry all over the track to pick up the oil that was pouring out of both cars, so the race is Red Flagged, meanting that its probably going to be extended at least a half hour, with rain possible, and it getting late. Race probably would've been over naturally in about 15 minutes.)

EDIT- Oh, and Logano was leading at the time, while Kenseth was beat up and laps down.

Congrats Royals! They were one hell of a team this year that would not go away. Well done!
11/02/15, 07:47
Aww, stinky Mets lost? Poor Louuuuuuuu.
11/02/15, 09:06
They got dominated in every facet of the game. There is no team in the National League that could've possible beaten the Royals. They are that good.
11/02/15, 13:19
Congrats, Royals! :D

Took two years, but you did it. Honestly I would have been happy with either team winning, but I'm especially glad for the KC fans who were so devastated after last year's snafu. Bring on Baseball 2016!
11/02/15, 15:41
That was the funniest failure I have ever seen. I'd feel bad for them if they weren't the Mets.
11/02/15, 15:56
I miss baseball. :/

I try to get more into hockey, but I get spoiled by the occasional 4 on 4 times which I find SO much more interesting than 5 on 5. Oh how I wish they would make that the norm. Oh, oh how cool that would be.
11/06/15, 19:08
Whoa, Ronda Rousey lost last night?
