Well it looks like the Teddy Bridwater-era is the present rather than the future of the Minnesota Vikings. Hopefully it works out for him.

O's are playing Yankees right now, "tragic number" is 1. Yankes were up 3-0, but its now 6-3 O's in the same inning. Derek Jeter's big "so long!" Home Game is tomorrow night, and they're calling for heavy rain. Hmm.

Last night Jeter had a chance to win the game with a guy on base, but struck out swinging. As someone who has been haunted by that guy my entire rememberable past, this is a satisfying end.

And Derek Jeter gets in one more jab against myself and O's fans with a walkoff single in the Bottom of the 9th.

Won't miss ya!

Question: what will this crowd do with Jeter retired? They'll have no idea whose name to chant.
-OR- are they going to cheer it for years to come? Good grief, I hope not.

Ryder Cup begins this morning! Euro-trash is going down!

So far looks like the morning 4-ball will be a split.

@MrMustache

Please add Detroit Lions and myself up to the Fans board if you would be so kind.

@DrFinkelstein

Safe to come out of the woodwork now, eh?

Whoooooo!

Canterbury qualifies for the 2014 NRL Grand Final!

/talking to myself.

@Shadowlink

That is a sign of mental illness you know.

Also good game for the Vikings. Teddy had a good first start with 300+ yards passing and the team had 500+ yards of offense for the first time in years and the running game really did a good job for the Vikes which is a hopeful sign without AP for the foreseeable future.

@Mr_Mustache

Huh?

Simply I've begun enjoying football more and giving more of a damn about the ol' Home Team. Went to a game last week and had a lot of fun. Just trying to be a better fan.

Mariners end the season with the W, but Oakland pulls out one last win to "take" the Wild Card slot. That stretch with the Blue Jays killed us more than anything, never seen bad pitching so contagious as everyone was giving up 7+ runs in our starting rotation. Oh well, still a good season when you can say we finally played a game 162 that mattered!

The kid from Houston won the batting title, which was good for the team. They were going to sit him, because he played so well all year the management thought he'd want to ride the last game on the bench. Took him talking to them to state otherwise...

Maybe. But the quality of the conversation is pretty damn good .

For anyone who also likes wrestling, you'll be pleased to know that there was a "THIS_IS_AWE_SOME" chant in the O's game tonight. I'm pretty sure I heard "YOU SOLD OUT!", too, though I have no idea what that was about..

@DrFinkelstein

Haha, it was a joke. Usually Detroit Lions fans wear paper bags on their heads to games, now they're in 1st place in their division 4 weeks in. Different times, my man.

@ludist210

Wow, that is wild. There was a stretch a few years ago where I really only got to see Bills road games and division rivals on TV. Crazy nuts.
10/03/14, 13:34
@ludist210

Actually, they just said that games no longer HAVE to blacked out under certain circumstances. The NFL will still be able to black out games if they make arrangements with the networks that show their games.

GO BIRDS!!! WOOOO!!!!

@Jargon

Interesting. Goodell says this will sink the league financially and they'll have to go PPV. I think PPV would sink the league faster...but we'll see what actually happens.
10/03/14, 22:55
@ludist210

PPV for football? I'll just stop watching, thanks. Football isn't that important.

Also, amazing comeback by the Birds. I listened to the game at school, and thought that 4th inning bombardment by the Tigers would be enough. But Verlander exited in the 6th, so that gave the O's plenty of opportunities to come back. And they did. Tigers' bullpen is atrocious.

I'd watch football on PPV if every player was mic'd up. That'd be awesome, haha!

Go Royals!! Great win over LAA last night...hope they can keep it up.

Yes, Joba Chamberlain; couldn't stand him on the Yankees, but now he's become one of my favorite players in the league. I mentioned it to someone and they said "he could run for Mayor of Baltimore!" He's done nothing but good things for the Orioles.
10/05/14, 02:42
@Mr_Mustache

That's it though... four weeks in... things will likely change. I have to admit though, jokes aside, them playing a bit better certainly catches my attention.
