Its funny that Tim Tebow was on there. The guy is a back-up on a bad team to Kyle Orton. How did he get on there?
04/19/11, 23:42
@chrisbg99

People like Tim Tebow. But maybe not as much as EA thought. They were teasing people on there "oh man, who will you vote for if Tebow is lined up against Maurice Jones-Drew?!" ...And then Tebow didn't even clear Round 1. Terrible.

I thought Steve Johnson had a crack (at least stats wise in his brackets), but lost out to Dany Woodhead and his FIVE (5) touchdowns. How the heck is 5 touchdowns worthy of being on a cover? Steve Johnson was over 1000 yards receiving, had well over 5 touchdowns, and probably should've made the Pro Bowl. Ah well..

You know what's a cool sport?

Chess. Just sayin'.
04/20/11, 02:16
Well, the O's won tonight. 11-0. How do you get squashed over and over again, and then score 11 runs? It can't ONLY be the opposing pitching. Whats the deal??
04/20/11, 09:43
@Mr_Mustache

Match fixing. Terrible. Tsk.
04/20/11, 10:34
@Mr_Mustache

Just one of those things. I couldn't tell you how many times I've seen a struggling team on offense or pitching or whatever suddenly have a great game or even a series against the Braves and the next game/series go right back to their struggles.

@chrisbg99

I think its the jerseys! They wore awesome black ones last night, woo! They'll probably be back to white/sad tonight.
Lets hope not though..
04/21/11, 01:21
Fine, I'll talk about playoffs in this thread and not my own. You win Mr_M.

RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS!
RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS!
RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS! RED WINGS!

We just swept the Coyotes! They did well though to fight back, making it 3-3 pretty quick. Then we had what can only be called Miracle Goals because they were certainly heavily luck based. But you gotta give that 4-3 shot some credit for the skill of the aim. That had very little room for error. Any other spot and it wouldn't have happened. Then 5-3 happened and a nice break-away on an empty net to make it 6-3 final.

I hope we can continue this all through to the cup!

As long as someone beats Vancouver great. I need to ridicule my friend.

@DrFinkelstein

Haha, I was listening to MasterSandman_II on his radio show the other day:

"Big night of hockey tonight.. ..And the Coyotes head back to Phoenix to play the Red Wings..where they have no fans. Haha, poor Coyotes.."

I gotta update my sports stuff up there now! I guess "every other night" isn't enough!
04/22/11, 00:27
Yeah it was kind of funny how you could clearly hear chanting for the Red Wings during Game 4. I was at the home opener of the Phoenix Coyotes this season when they played the Wings, and there were a TON of Wings fans there. I was shocked.
04/22/11, 03:49
@DrFinkelstein

Eh, its not restricted to just hockey. The last Oriole games I've been to in Baltimore have been "home games" for the opposition. Nothing like leaving New York State to be greeted by a stadium more than HALF FULL of Yankee fans. Terrible.
04/22/11, 05:34
The Mariners need to drop Jason Vargas after tonight. I don't know how long they plan on keeping him in the starting rotation, but the sooner they end this pain the better we'll be doing. Make him a closer or drop him to AAA for awhile, something needs to be done about this guy.
04/24/11, 05:36
@Mr_Mustache

I absolutely LOVE Camden Yards. Next time you go let me know.

Lets go CAPS!
04/24/11, 05:39
Could be too early to do this, since hockey can be pretty unpredictable, but I'd like to thank the Flyers for participating. No Pronger, no Carter, and a questionable goalie situation to say the least....I think they're done.
04/24/11, 05:52
Oh man, sorry I fell asleep on the schedule stuff! Busy weekend!!

@Abdooooo

Oh yeah! I forgot (just now) that you were nearby. I don't know when we're going to Baltimore next (with the NYC trip in August and a family reunion in June), but we'll let you know! (Don't hold your breath!)
04/25/11, 23:05
You should add tennis.
04/25/11, 23:06
@-JKR-

Tennis is the first thing, goofball!
04/25/11, 23:11
I'm sorry I got to miss celebrating Philly's day of awesomeness yesterday. Sixers avoid the sweep against the Heat (while the Knicks get swept by the Celtics), the Flyers win in OT over Buffalo, forcing a game 7 back in Philly, and the Phillies finish their 4 game sweep of the Padres...even if it was unfortunately won because of Roy Halladay throwing waaay too many pitches. I know he's our horse and the guy's a machine, but I hope we don't wear him out. Sometimes the manager's just gotta say enough's enough, even if it IS Roy Halladay.
