Pretty sure thats true, yes.

Ralph played an instrumental role in the whole thing, obviously. If memory serves, I recall hearing about him loaning money to another team (Raiders?) so they could compete. Here you are in a league going against other teams, and you're funding them.

No, I don't want them to move. But there's like, a 400 million dollar penalty for anyone that wants to move the Bills in the next 7 years. After that, it's 2 million. The writing is on the wall.

I was just talking to Gardner a little while ago; didn't Ralph ensure that the Bills would be here well beyond his death? I don't know. Couldn't they do a 90's Bills ownership thing with Thurman, Andre, and Jim? Rough Jim Kelly news this week, too. Not fun.

Right now, the team is in a trust. Where it goes after that, I think is up to the family. Or the highest bidder. While it would be nice to see a collection of former Bills buy the team, it seems highly unlikely.

Sad day for the Bills organization/fans as a whole. That plus the Jim Kelly news...

That would be truly rotten. With the exception of the Houston Oilers, every other AFL Team is in their origin city. Yeah, the Raiders moved to LA and back ("no one seemed to notice" --BASEketball), but every other team is where they were.

If the Bills move, I don't see Western NY getting a replacement team, as Houston did. Trash.

Haha! NICE. He's getting some solid action in my NCAA 2005 stuff. Pretty sure he'll be the guy getting the ball in our Championship Game on Sunday (due to mid-season injuries) vs. Pitt.

How long did he play? When putting "old" guys into my game, I was actually surprised that he wasn't in Madden 2005. Must've retired in 2003 or something.

He retired after the 2000/2001 season. Came as a shock since he was still in pretty prime condition but he decided to retire after only 8 season to focus on his interest in medicine and avoid serious injury, probably concussion. Was a real bummer.

They had a bit of a revolving door situation until AP was drafted with Michael Bennett and Chester Taylor being the most notable unless you remember Onterrio Smith and the Whizzinator incident. Mewelde Moore also was pretty good for them I suppose.
