The Orange Box for Xbox 360 is on sale for $5 in NA. It's well worth that price if you haven't played any of the 3 game included. If you've been wanting to play TF2 on a console, now is your best chance to do that in years. It's been a ghost town for awhile, but online multiplayer games tend to get a resurgence in player count when they go on sale. Even if you don't care about TF2, Portal and Half Life 2 are easily worth more than five dollars on their own.
Ocarina of Time 3D is $30 at Best Buy. It'd be $23-$24 with my Gamers Club Unlocked. It's be $13-$14 if I used my $10 coupon from Destiny. Pretty tempting but I feel like if I'm not going to play it now, I shouldn't get it. Curse this endless pile of games.
Some tempting things here. I wanted to get Beyond Good and Evil on Gamecube, but prices for that game have been creeping up across the board. And where should I go next in the Resident Evil series after RE4? I don't have much interest in 5 or 6, and I'm aware that 0-3 (or is it 0-Code Veronica) play differently from 4. But I want to give the earlier parts of the series a try and RE3 is only 1.50
I wonder if I should nab that for my nephew. On the one hand I feel bad not getting him the full system, but on the other hand... we call his youngest brother "Destructor". So...
Well I bit. Red is his favorite color and it's a big savings. I'll probably buy him his first handheld game too... hmm... which one... or do I go with a gift card and let him go eShop crazy?...
Fantasy Life Maybe Tomadachi Life - it seemed funny from the demo. Nice to see Nintendo finally do something more interesting Miis. Maybe Smash 3DS but I don't know how much playtime it would get with Halo and Smash Wii U coming out within 10 days of each other.
I was trying to think of how I could string my Best Buy GCU discount together with this, in addition to Halo and a hard drive. I already ordered a hard drive for Smash. Halo comes out tomorrow. That's $103 right there. The three 3DS games with my discount would bring that to about $155. I think my $5 gift certificate expires tomorrow.
I guess I could pay a bit extra to get a NAS for my apartment to trigger $25 off through my Amex card ($25 off any purchase of $250) but at that point this is just an excuse for me to spend a couple hundred extra bucks I don't need to spend.
@Zero I was thinking about splitting it up with you, since I had trouble thinking of three games that I'd want, but you can always return them for $40 each, so I picked up Super Mario 3D World, Bayonetta 2, and Hyrule Warrious. Kind of unsure about keeping Hyrule Warriors...
Yeah I cracked. Went to Target to pick up juice and protein bars. Also got Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, The Last of Us, and Rayman Legends for $90. To be honest the only one I see myself finding time for anytime soon is DKC: TF. Which means this won't end up being much of a deal in the long run. Then again Shirley liked Rayman Origins so maybe I can get her to play Legends with me. Then again then again... we could have just kept playing Origins, which we only got a few worlds into.
Somehow I completely forgot that Bayonetta 2 is a thing. But I was trying to keep it at the $50-$40 range anyway. A $60 game would have knocked me up $20.
