Speaking of which, Newegg is offering $12 off of all pre-orders over $49.99, including NSMB U, Monster Hunter Ultimate, Pikmin 3, and the Pro controller!
@Zero Seems like it to me. It's possible that we'll see some crazy bundle deals when Wii U launches, but probably not. Even if we do, we'll probably know early enough to cancel the Newegg order.
Yeah, I agree about the cyclical thing (and your specific progression). Amazon hasn't been that great for about a year. K-Mart had great deals, but I think they consciously stopped them (when the guy who posted on CAG stopped posting on CAG). And Newegg has been rocking the house. They didn't even used to CARRY that many games, if memory serves.
Hmm, btw you need to sign up for their email list for that code to work, as well as have an account on Newegg (I do.) I just signed up for the email list, they said it will take 24 hours to process.
If anyone sees any Halo 4 deals, post them in here! I know there's one on Microsoft's site where you get $25 of in-store credit, but it seems a little fishy.
Got an email...after somehow signing up for more emails? I dunno, very weird but they emailed me today with promo code for the two games I added to my cart recently. It's like it knows...
Shipping for a new game? Please. Too many horror stories outweigh the "oh, I'll just go to the store now, it'll be there, and then I'll be playing it." Look how long it took some folks to get Last Story. No wayskis!
@Mr_Mustache I've gotten a ton of games shipped, and that was by far the longest it's ever taken to get one. And it was still only like 2 weeks after launch. And it was for $30 shipped anyway!
@Mr_Mustache At the rate I open games, I wouldn't mind if it took years! Speaking of which, my launch pre-order of New Super Mario Bros. 2 just shipped from Deep Discount! $25! Yay, Deep Discount!
@Mr_Mustache Then start saving! Before you know it you will be saving hundreds of dollars on games like Anand and I! And you will learn some patience too! Except not that much patience, because shipped games tend to arrive lightning fast.
So many good games on there. I'm very tempted by 6 of them (the graphical Zork games, the Phantasmagoria games, and Arcanum), it would be under $20, but I can't justify it given how I already have RPGs and adventure games I haven't played in my backlog.
In any case, Zork: Grand Inquisitor I have played before, and it is very well done and funny. Michael McKean plays a lantern! Definitely check it out if you are looking for an adventure game to play.
Return to Zork and particularly Phantasmagoria are some of the worst games I've ever played. Phantasmagoria at least is laughably bad, but still not worth buying imo
