@Tranquilo

You mean 50%. Getting a 3DS game for $50 wouldn't be much of draw.

I'd consider this if there was another 3DS game I wanted besides Revelations. But when you think about it, even if you got two $40 3DS games, that's only $10 off each game. I imagine I'll be able to get better savings down the line if I'm patient.

Buy one get one 50% off on all DS, 3DS and Vita games on Toys R Us this week. (March 4, 212-March 10, 2012)

Yeah, thinking about nabbing Starfox and Tetris with this deal tomorrow.

If I did do something like this, I may be inclined to abuse my "Buy Two Get One Free" I have at Gamestop. That'll have to wait though.

Massive typo...

I still don't have any 3DS games. I wanted to clear my backlog of DS titles before I started playing some. I just completed the main story of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box and want to move on to the next one. I was thinking of picking it up as well as the fourth title but I don't see "The Unwound Future" listed in Toys R Us's online catalog. I will stop by my local store to see if they have it there. If not I may get Kirby Mass Attack and something else. Super Scribblenauts, maybe?

Reposted from another thread. I'd like to keep this thread as active as we can, because these kind of deals always pop up and hopefully we can keep each other informed of them. (OMW I hope you don't mind that I edited your post to read $25 instead of $50).

I don't use Origin that much however a good deal is a good deal. Twenty Five bucks for Arkham City and Battlefield is a crazy good deal, check it out!

Also Crysis 2 is only twenty...

ALSO if you missed out on Psychonauts, it is $5 on Steam right now for both PC and Mac. I'd pick it up if I had time and room in my backlog, but it'll have to wait for now.

EDIT: Also, this may not be a "deal" but if you're looking to get some Microsoft Points for your 360, DON'T FORGET that you can sign up for XBox Live Rewards. It's not unlike Club Nintendo in a way. Basically, you'll get little bonuses the first time you use Netflix, or take a survey, and other things on XBox Live like make purchases. I actually have 960 MS Points after doing some things here and there, and these are actual points that you can use on XBLA games, add-ons, movie rentals, etc. So maybe I can put this toward Banjo-Tooie if we ever do a Game Club for it...

@VofEscaflowne
I saw $149 3DS at Walmart, if you can apply the rebate too it might come to $129. Sweet deal.

For PC/Mac gamers:

Actually just learned about SteamGameSales. It's a site that actually tracks the history of (most?) games on Steam, and when they've gone on sale. It also tracks sales on other online retailers like Green Man Gaming and Gamer's Gate.

From some poking around today:

Portal 2: $9.99 on Steam
Trine: $3.99 on GreenMan Gaming
Total War: Shogun 2: $7.50 on Steam

Check the site out to see if anything tickles your fancy, but those were the ones that jumped out to me off the bat.

@PogueSquadron

Shogun 2 is an amazing game. If your set up can run it I'd recommend it to anyone.

Also Bards Tale is up for five dollars today and Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is also up for five.

There are a fuckton of deals on Steam. Everything by Square is up to 75% off... the new Deus Ex is only fifteen, great deal and a great game.

I think this could be huge for some people, though i'm unfortunately not buying games at the moment. Baggggh.

De Blob 2 for Wii is on Amazon for $12.38 right now.

And used, you can get it under $7 I think...AFTER shipping.

I really wish it was the 360 version that was on sale, but then again, I've cut myself off from game buying.

Amazon, in lieu of Target's Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal, is also having a Buy 2 Get 1 Free special right now. Umm...I just bought Kirby's Return to Dreamland, Rayman Origins, and Rhythm Heaven...wtf is wrong with me? I...I'm such a sucker, massive backlog becomes even more massive.

@Marsh

I'm trying to spend money, and I don't even know what to get. Super Mario Galaxy 2? Trauma Team? Weird.
03/28/12, 04:59
@Mr_Mustache

I HIGHLY recommend both. All of the games Marsh just mentioned are quality too.
03/28/12, 05:02
I was this close to closing the window when I happened upon Kirby. I was like "dammit, a game I skipped and I fecking love Kirby" so...yeah, then saw Rayman Origins for PS3...and I've been meaning to pick up Rhythm Heaven. ARGH! So weak.

You should definitely pick those two up if you're interested Mustache, Galaxy 2 > Galaxy and Trauma Team is wacky anime fun.
