I was listening to last week's Player One Podcast and one of the guys voted Mr. Ninja as their mobile app GOTY. They also said it was free for a limited time.

Looks like it's still listed as free for anyone interested.

Dead Space 1 and 2 are both $5 each on Steam right now if anyone's interested.

DUDE. If anyone is interested, the following can be yours on Steam for five, that's right, five US dollars.

Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Sat Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith
Star Wars: Dark Forces

Individually, they are all under $3...each. The old Jedi Knight games are all under $1.25, while JK2 and JA are both $2.50. Wowsers. I might have to check out the older games, as I have never really played Dark Forces at all.

Kyle Katarn! Woo!

Ha, funny coincidence, I bought that pack during a Steam sale a while ago and finally got around to trying Dark Forces this week. It is awful, and I doubt Jedi Knight and its expansion are any better. But that's okay, I mostly bought it for Outcast and Academy, which I loved back when they first came out and will someday play again with hyper-nostalgia to balance out the design issues they have.

I would KILL for a new Jedi Knight game, man. The ridiculous Force Unleashed shit has to stop.

@New Forms, Mr. Ninja seems pretty good. Played it? Does not seem to exist on Android...

You may have considered buying the soon to be released Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2...

The first game got pretty good reviews and from what I have read, the second titles improves on everything the first one did already well. The game is to be released on February 28th and until recently, you could preorder on amazon.ca for the low-low price of 29,32 CAD$. As I'm writing these lines, the game is now 24,99 CAD$ on amazon.ca while it's down 29,96 US$(from 29,99 US$) on amazon.com.

Canadian friends, if you are ever interested in this game or know someone who might be interested, I think it's the time to buy this game that just might get a very limited print. So go ahead, buy & spread the word.

Not sure if this game is for you yet...? Catch a glimpse of this trailer.

Cheers!

@nate38
People used to love that game. I've never played it, though.

If you bring your 3DS into Best Buy and use the Nintendo Zone app, you can get 10% off a 3DS game, or 20% off two, or 30% off three. Pretty good deal if there are some new releases you're interested in -- hell, I used this deal yesterday on MGS3D, and the game CAME OUT yesterday. I picked up MGS3D, RE: Revelations (with no typo!) and Star Fox 64 3D yesterday for $84.

@rebonack
It's almost like they were giving YOU money!

J/k. That IS pretty cool. I've been trying to use Nintendo Zone for months at Best Buy with no love, though.

@Anand Well my mom bought a computer there last month and I got an $80 reward certificate so they kind of DID give me money. I only had to pay $4 out of pocket.

@rebonack
Nice haul!

FYI

Damn it. There are too much recuring threads. How are we supposed to keep the count of it all!? We need to be able to bookmark threads with our NW accounts... Or just something to let newcomers know that these threads exists.

@Davoid

You can "flag" a thread by clicking on the round icon that's on the right of the thread's title in the main forum. Then, you can bring up all of your flagged threads easily using the Search function.

@Anand They probably haven't aged all that well, but Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy are still the best Jedi simulators. You've got some fun and powerful Force abilities at your disposal, but you're far from being an invulnerable super-god. Saber duels usually end in two or three hits at most, and several guns can end you just as quick, so carelessness is punished and stealth is rewarded (though not required). Plus the saber controls, while kind of odd and unintuitive, allow for tons of depth and strategy in any situation. The duels look really wacky, but they're really tense and strategic. Man, now I need to replay these games!

PS, I'm not sure how I pulled this off, but I pre-ordered Kid Icarus: Uprising with release-day shipping for $40.98 from Amazon.com the other day, meaning I got the game on release day without paying taxes and get a 3D Classics Kid Icarus download code as well. I tried doing it again today and couldn't seem to get it to work, so I'm not sure if it's an official thing or if I cheated the system somehow? I know these $1 release-day shipping incidents have happened before though, so I'm guessing it's an official thing that just isn't highly advertised maybe.
