Why not sign up for a (free) account?

this sounds fun to try out(picking a country that may let us have a more 'private' online battle)..let me know the results..

I think I remember something about changing countries messing up your Shop Channel settings. Possibly losing any Wii Points you may have. Best check on that before anyone goes futzing with it.

@Shadowlink

Definitely.

Well if that's the case, then maybe something like Hawaii or Alaska might be better choices. They're both small, and they're both still in the US. Would that in any way change the territory, since they're not part of the continental US?

Well, as long as changing your country doesnt screw up your already purchased games I can try it out. I currently have 100 points so I don't care! I know that US users can change their country to Canada in order to successfully gift Canadian users. This sounds scary and exciting!

I currently have no points built up, so I can absolutely try it, but it would not be useful for anybody else.

@Deerock69

Well, at least we know we could test it out. I dont want to screw up anyone's account balance though.

Well...you're apparently here and I'm here. I'm totally willing to give tuvalu a shot within the next 10-15 minutes if you are. :)

EDIT- For the record, I just picked Haiti. I doubt there are many Wii gamers in Haiti.
Whelp, I guess its official- if we put Haiti as our country and keep it local, we're going to be able to game all day and all night, because I've been waiting for the last 20 minutes for anybody to show up, and it has been a graveyard.

Just to kind of give this an unofficial bump, I'll let you know what to expect. When you change your country, then you'll have to go in and agree to the terms and conditions again. It also says you'll have to adjust your parental controls. I don't know if that means they've been wiped out or not, since GE is a T rated game, but I'll try it out for shits and giggles on an M rated game. More in a second.

EDIT- Yeah, it totally wiped out my parental locks. Its not like my kids mess around with my stuff anyway. ;p

For the record, I'd love to get 5 or 6 of my fellow Haitians together this evening to see how this pans out. I'll be available this evening.
11/24/10, 02:56
I'm not gonna change my country but I'll be on in a few.
11/24/10, 05:18
I suppose I could pop on for an hour too. I need to capture some footage for a project and well, the tape is nearly full. Seems a perfect fit. I wont be changing my settings either. While I did see that as a possibility for private rooms, the invite feature works just fine for me and I think playing matches with eight is best anyway. So if it's 3-4 of us NWers and the rest strangers, that's fine.
11/24/10, 05:37
Damn, Stephen, nice K/D ratios!
11/24/10, 06:27
Sorry anon and Dr. Fink, I had to quit. The lag was unbearable. I kept jumping all over the place and Capt. Beef (or whatever) kept pwning me. This is the first time I've really had trouble with my connection.
11/24/10, 06:55
I'm lagging like mad on this Station. God I hate the station.

We just played the Outpost and yeah, it's lagging a lot for me now. I'm done for the night anyway.

Thanks Mikey for the compliment! I was a friggin' baller those first couple a games. Never had I rocked the Jungle like I did that one round... though I don't remember if you both were there for that or not. One match, the first Docks I think, was 18k/3d. Pretty proud. Or maybe it was the nightclub... aw fuck who knows.

I kept hearing about "The Green Room" in the Nightclub and I totally see why it's good. Though I didn't wanna be a bitch and camp out really so I would stray a lot or do a lap around the joint. It was pissing me off when Capt Meat was camping out in that one room in the Docks. People do that all the time now and it's just a bitch-ass way to play. It's a bad coding decision for them to also respawn a lot in that upper room when camping there because it fuels the fire. But then again, it felt good to finally nail Capt Meat in the head and take that room back the one time.

@DrFinkelstein

LOL! I meant Capt. Meat. Yeah, I saw that he setup shop in that room and I kept chucking nades in. I was also happy when we finally took the room over. Even if the lag pissed me off I still like playing with you guys.

@Abdooooo

You as well! You, Anon, and I make a hell of a team!
11/24/10, 07:35
CRAP! It looks like I missed out again. My kids were being completely unwieldy this evening. Well, I could still be available for the rest of the evening unless you east coasters are sound asleep at this point. :/
11/24/10, 07:48
I'm done for the night - good games. Next time let's try Heroes, it's a fun mode!
11/24/10, 07:51
@anon_mastermind

Normally I do Heroes because of the added points you can earn. Only reason I didn't was because I thought Team would give me a chance to get my Pistol count up but of course that wasn't the case because it's NEVER a fair fight in that scenario. Next time, back to Heroes for sure, though I never really choose to be the Hero. I always get screwed over.
