I'm 30 right now. I don't have a problem with "advanced" monsters that are the same. I'm kinda surprised you are. I like that aspect, facing stronger foes you've downed before. Of course, I haven't encountered any of them yet, but it should be neat. I've been dusting Great Jaggis in the 'Woods in roughly 54 seconds. Online, I dunno, 2 minutes? I'm still wearing my Bone armor so it'll be nice to get a little upgrade on that as well. My entire cabinet of Swords/Shields is upgraded pretty high. I still need a Lagiacrus Horn though to get that sword.. Grr.
Sure, what HR are you? I want to get to HR31 as soon as I can. Right now I'm capped at 30 until I beat my mission. I'll shoot for that tonight.. (I gotta play some Madden games sometime though..PROBABLY tomorrow..I'm home around 11pm, bed around 4a)
I didn't know it, but EVERY monster you encounter offers different items, even the little guys! There are some other old ones available still, but at a seemingly higher clip (like, I've taken down a Jaggi or two, and about four King's Frills on top of "+" stuff). My name is now orange (like everyone else I see, haha!), and its great.
Who can I help join this level as well? Somebody, step up!
So I finally got all the lantern+ I needed from high gobul. Now I'm on to either jho armor or alatreon. I think alatreon is a better choice as it's easier and so I can get the hammer and then can farm jho to get his hammer or viceversa. Any thoughts? I also need to learn barrel bombs (or perhaps farm dire herb).
If you think that online gets boring maybe you just ran into the wrong group of people. When that happens I leave the city and find players with a sense if humor. Also, playing/helping newnplayers can be both boring or fun depending on how cool they are. Sadly, the problem is that now lots of people (including myself up to now) are out and about enjoying the summer and no one from my full friends list is anywhere to be found. It's a hit or miss. By all means, if you are "done" with the game then it's a good idea to stop playing. Go out!
It just pisses mr off that I can't get my fucking defense to go up even though I have 2 armor. Amulets (regular and tallon one) and a (m) defense skill. People are at 1050+ with a low jho armor and I have a full blown upgraded rathian+ armor and all sort of amulets and I'm only 985.
Also, for some reason Alatreon seems easier than jho. When jho does the dragon attack he generally stuns me and obviously hits me again and there I go fainting and everyone is like (face_plain)... "leave"
Be ready to scream and run away like a little girl. Jho scares the shit out of me. And the music will freak you too (think 50s noir /horror movie / shining
Yeah, the game makes it so you have to balance doing both. Like, if you want to farm something, like a Godbug, it takes 100 points or something to do it. As much money as you have, that does NOTHING for those types of things. Anything ran by your own requires the points that you get from the Woods. So yeah, just keep it balanced.. When you're getting low on money, do some quests! When you're getting down there in points (or Herbs/Honey/Mushrooms/etc), hit the Woods!
And yeah, the forecast is really important. You'll never find what you seek if you go at improper times.
I'm afraid of everything in that game. I don't even like fighting Barroths.
Ha! Barroth is a breeze... It simple t a k e s f o r e v e r... Jho as of now is the only one that scares me. Even more than Alatreon. Jho is fast, hardcore, hits you repeatedly, and hits so fucking hard( one hit = 1/3 of my health)
I love monster wiki. It helped me a lot when putting together a to do list to upgrade weapons (quest I need to farm, stuff I can sell etc.)
Also, offline I go to the woods more than actually playing the quests. I love the Zelda-@like no time limit exploration and I get honey that way!!!
