I'm not sure what gives you the impression that you have to be around the same HR as everyone playing with you. I already beat the game, so there's nothing left for me to accomplish as far as my own goals are concerned. Therefore, if it is only a matter of you feeling like you are holding me back, then that isn't the case. All I want to do is play the game with cool people, no matter their rank. If you're worried about someone coming in with high-level equipment that makes quests too easy, I'm even willing to use rank 1 equipment, which would make me essentially no different than someone who is HR9.
It's your prerogative to play as you want and I'm not going to crash your party if I don't fit your ideals. But it sounds like you're having trouble gathering four players together, so I'm offering you another player to consider.
No, its more of a case of "the first time I played through, I didn't feel like I earned anything. All of my big quests were done with someone stronger than me, I felt like my hand was being held the entire time." I don't like that feeling.
We started over together, with no outside help. The only success was ours, and ours alone. Up through HR9.
It was just the idea of the thing.
And we have more trouble finding "time" now than players.
@Mr_Mustache I don't mind waiting I still have to work on offline. I just the other day got up to the 3 star quests and I do need to do a lot to upgrade the things offline with materials I find offline and online. I also need to upgrade some weapons and make different sets for my 3 weapon classes that I am working on. Sword and shield,Great sword and Bowgun.
@Mop_it_up what time do you want to play? Maybe during the chat in about 45 mins?
Okay guys I am online right now. I am sitting at the gate of Greed 4 Gate 27,city 27 currently. I go by Elipsia and here is my ID W9FCFJ. So for any high rank people that want to help out just come and warp to me.
I feel for ya, man. People have fallen off.. I wish you guys were around a YEAR ago. You would've had no problem whatsoever. Someone will play with you soon though..hopefully.
A year ago I was on another forum and was just working up towards my HR400's with my first character. But yeah I stopped with my urgent the other day at HR40 so I plan on just waiting there for you guys.
Hmm I kinda decided to do my urgent so I am past HR 40 now. I do play with other peopIe and I think they wanted to hunt other monsters as did I. I had this idea to use the skill taunt which brings the monsters attention to you and the other 3 members of my party had the skill sneak so they had the monsters not paying attention that much to them. So most of the time both monsters were focusing on me when they were on the same map. I had low rank Peco on. Nobody died. I do plan on waiting at HR 50 though for you guys. That way I can think of different sets and make different sets and upgrade weapons and have a good amount of zenny for my urgent.
Hey MH peoples. Just got this game and tried it out with my wife... what are the co-op options? Is arena mode the only offline co-op mode? Is it worth it? How does it tie into the main campaign if at all? Is this the same for online co-op or is that part of the main campaign?
Couch co-op is restricted to the arena, which has nothing to do with the main single player or online quest. If you want to enjoy the game to its fullest with your wife, you need two tvs, two copies of the game, and an internet connection.
You can go back and forth between single player and online with your main character, without hassle.
@anon_mastermind Thanks. Maybe once I get a Wii U grab a 2nd copy to play on Gamepad & TV at the same time. Bought used without instruction booklet. I played about 10 - 20 min. If I had to sum up those minutes "Limited local" & "assless chaps"
