This game got great reviews on PS4 and I always meant to get around to it, but I'll probably just wait for the Switch version now.

Anyone else interested?!

Cool! Yeah I've always appreciated Vanillaware's art direction. The trailer didn't seem to show any gameplay...I'll have to do some looking around because I'm not sure what kind of game it is. Usually this studio does action games, but maybe this one is more of a visual novel or classic adventure game?

@GameDadGrant
4/5 visual novel from different characters' viewpoints, 1/5 urban mech RTS, kind of? But not as fiddly as that implies.

I've played the beginning of it. Pretty cool! The time-travel-based story is intriguing. And the art is beautiful, as always.

Sakurai was a big fan!

That’s enough for me to be intrigued!

I’m impressed. Voice acting is really well done I’m still in the prologue stages but I’ve done 5 battles so far. Still waiting for a Muramassa switch port but this will have to do for now. Obviously a different game then Muramassa but I’ve always loved this art style. Amazon has it on sale now - pretty much eliminates the “switch tax” this game had when it first released last month.

I played through this whole game. It's a long game, like 40ish hours! Except I didn't play through much of the bonus strategy area, because apparently it has 9,999 bonus stages?! What?!

But yeah the main game itself, pretty neat!

The story parts (which make up like 90% of the game) are well made with a lot of wild stuff happening and honestly with 13 different characters it was tough for me to keep track what was going on but it all comes together eventually.

The strategy gameplay was alright. Definitely not bad but for the most part it was just kind of a fun little diversion from the meat of the game, which is the story parts. Only in the last few stages did the strategy parts really push me much.

It is a little disjointed in that, with some exceptions, you can choose to go through a lot of the story mode without doing much of the strategy mode and vice versa until it finally forces you to catch up, so the story and strategy parts don't directly connect to each other as you play. A bit odd, but it's fine.
