@Hero_Of_Hyrule I haven't tried Chess yet so I don't know what you mean there, but as a kid I don't think I ever played Checkers with the rule that you have to capture a piece if you are able to. Granted I hardly ever played Checkers, but that rule surprised me in Clubhouse Games, I don't think I ever knew about it? It probably makes the game more strategic, but it'd be nice to be able to turn that off and see how the game plays without it.

Being forced to capture IS a real Checkers rule, I believe. Although I didn't know that until my nephew told me a few years ago.

It makes sense, though, since it prevents you from parking in the side spots. Checkers already has such limited strategic options as it is. It gets even worse when you further limit those options.
