Is anyone else still chipping away at this? I'm hoping to finish the aquarium at some point. I've been able to set up my island to make it so I have a decent amount of river space for fish to spawn in but my mortal enemy is the pier. There are certain fish that only spawn near the pier but the pier also still spawns regular ocean fish and the pier only fish are kind of rare.

I fell out of it. Missing my opportunity again to finish the bugs as I really only need two rare palm beetles. But that Nintendo Direct for ACNH today was awesome. It had a lot of what I wanted to see and only missing a little of what I still wish to see.

I'm excited to get more into this game again.

The thing I'm mostly excited for is the novel ways to change your island design after playing the pay DLC, and the return of Kapp'n. Harv's Island revamp is neat too, especially if it helps get all the Museum Art and Bug/Fish Statues.

OH and GYROIDS! Whoa that was great to see.

The only things I wish were here would be more Nintendo items. It's a crime they won't/haven't released more Zelda, Splatoon, Metroid, Mario, etc themed items. Give us like 1,000 items Nintendo! Come on!

And I wish there was a little more non-design-based gameplay added. Where's the Tortimer Island-style mini game fun with friends? All the new stuff is solo designing and then NPC designing. Not much you can do with friends other than sit and have a cup of coffee.

The comment about v2.0 being the last of the major free updates brings me hope that the technicality here is still that 2.1 could bring Zelda items, or the like.

I invented all kinds of mini-games that should work with this AC!

And then no one ever tested them out with me!

Animal Crossing online was always more about chilling or relaxing than anything else for me.

Me too. I'm not really looking to play with a bunch of friends but I had fun on Tortimer Island in the past and it would be fun to play with my wife in a similar fashion.

@Zero

I wasn't aware of this! I'd set some time aside if you wanted to sometime. I like the Trivia game a lot because it would be fun if everyone came to it as a 'headmaster' with their own 20 questions or something. And the battle thing is intriguing. Not quite sure I fully understand the premise but I'd give it a go.

I'm going to file ordinances under the category of "shit that should have been in the game from day 1."

@pokepal148

Indeed. Not sure why that was omitted.

So the new horizons update is live and it turns out the Night Owl ordinance is a freaking scam.

I demand Isabelle give me a refund.
