Well, I finished all the main levels, have like 42 bees or whatever, tried the impossible lair once, got like 45% of the way through, and now I'm like... eh. Do I keep trying?
It's not even like it's undoable, obviously I'd get better at it over time if I kept trying, but it's such a weird mechanic. Most of the game has fairly regular checkpoints and nothing is all that hard, you can play it somewhat casually. It even has an optional skip mechanic for parts that you die on too much. But the end is just an insanely long (
took this dude 26 minutes to finish) and pretty challenging area and sure you get a bunch of lives based on how many bees you collected, but when you run out, which you probably will... you have to do the whole thing over again.
Honestly just not sure that's a fun way to play a game to me. If I loved the game I'd probably stick at it, but it's been kind of a solid but not amazing game for me so, maybe I'll try it a few more times before calling it a night?
