I was interested in this back when I played the Wii U demo, but then it never came to Wii U, and got kind of mediocre scores on the platforms it did come to, so I mostly forgot about it.

But then it came to Switch, and the Switch version has been scoring pretty well (wonder why the difference), so I was like hey... I liked the demo, why not?

Played through the first two stages so far and I like it! It relies a bit too much on "you're temporarily stuck in a room and a bunch of stuff is coming at you" for my tastes, but otherwise it feels like a great and varied (mostly) tank-based SHMUP, and we don't get many tank-based SHMUPs.

Also it has leaderboards and I see like 7 or 8 of my friends have the game so... what do you think?

I had already played it on PS4 and loved it back there and bought it again for Switch. Rarely do that but this being their last game and enjoying these guys as a developer, I decided to double dip. The game is largely similar but I think they might have tweaked a few sections and toned down the difficulty (there is an easier mode now since at first, all they had was hard difficulty). Also they told me they changed the scoring mechanics on Switch. Not really sure what they did there but shouldn't affect one's enjoyment. But yeah, anyone who likes platforming/action titles should check this out. It's pretty fun and satisfying once you get good at it!

Well, finished the main game.

Tough to say how I feel. Ultimately I did enjoy it, but it has WAY too many "you're in a tight spot and waves of enemies are coming at you for a long, long time" parts for my tastes. And maybe it was my fault for playing on hard instead of normal, but it got very frustrating at times. You can go from full health to dude in a heartbeat if a huge swarm hits you.

When the game did some creative stuff though, like the train area or the water area, it was pretty sweet. Just wish it were more about moving and platforming and such and less about getting stuck in a tight spot.

Played the challenge and enemy survival stuff (forget what it is called) a little bit too, it's cool that it has all this extra stuff, but I think I'm done.
