I was very surprised when this was announced! I'll buy it eventually, but I'm just playing too many games right now. Kinu Nishimura's character designs are what initially got my attention, but the gameplay looks solid too.

I LOVE Culdcept. It's like Monopoly, but fun! However, I finally found out that it doesn't have hotseat multiplayer. Which is kind of a dealbreaker for me. I mean, it's a freaking board game! I'll stick with the 360 version and grab it when I see a deal, I guess.

I would kill for a Switch port. If you have the means to play online or multicart multiplayer, though, I would definitely recommend Culdcept.

@Anand

Can't YOU play it online?

I mean, the game has online multiplayer. So couldn't say...you and I play it? Online? Chat with Discord?

Eh? Eh?

Maybe, but each game takes a LONG time, man. I dunno. Online play is a great option for virtual board games, but local is essential. You have to be able to punch each other or flip the board over in fury! And suspend the game to resume later!

I'll probably still get it, y'know. I'm contractually obligated! But it's definitely not at the top of the list. We'll have our NW game, eventually...

Speaking of which, did you grab ARMS? I know that you weren't a Pokken fan (surprisingly!).

@Anand

Hey, I liked Pokken! It’s pretty fun. Not my favorite fighter, but it ain’t bad. I’ll have to pick up the Switch version sooner or later.

I haven’t picked up ARMS. I wish there was a demo of the game, because it seems like something I *could* get into, but the mechanics are so weird that I...just don’t know. And it seems the only way to check it out now is by purchasing it. Gah. I missed the “Test Punch” events, and those aren’t coming back anytime soon.

Punching each other during a board game...?!? Now THAT is Chicago Style!

@GameDadGrant
C'mon, everyone does that! Plus, you're from Detroit! I'm not sure which city is the murder capital now, though...

They've actually had a Test Punch pretty recently, right? When Lola Pop was introduced, maybe? ARMS is boss. Rent it from the library!

I don't have Pokken yet, either. I'm waiting for a buy2get1free sale for quite a few retail games. Including Culdcept!

@Anand

In Detroit, we don’t punch each other during a game.

We shoot each other.

360 version? Isn't this a Nintendo published game? I could've sworn that there were some Culdcept songs in Brawl?

@Hero_Of_Hyrule
Omiyasoft is the developer. Similarly to Fatal Frame, Nintendo has published the last three entries in Japan. I don't know what the exact arrangement is. But I sure hope that it leads to a Switch version!

Well, I already double-dipped on the game. Why? Well, not *only* to have an excuse to be able to play multiplayer...but the NIS website still had some of those sweet, sweet Limited Edition versions for sale. So I went ahead and ordered one. That art book alone looks freakin' SWEET. And the box set is "only" $60...so hey, why not. I paid far more than that for the Breath of the Wild Collector's Edition as well as the Sonic Mania Collector's Edition. The sixty bones for Culdcept is a drop in the bucket at this point!

Plus, I had more than enough to pay for it outright in my PayPal account, so (I feel like) I didn't have to pay any actual money for it! Bonus!

@GameDadGrant

Did you get one of the Culdcept Revolt DLC codes that NIS gave out? If not, I'll give you mine.

Here are the details from the email I received:

• Challenge from Hell
A challenging bonus scenario and special map that can be used in single player and multi-player game modes!

• Soltis Book Cover
Show off your book locally and online with a glorious book cover based on the god of Soltaria!

@Octorockin

DLC codes...?!?

@GameDadGrant

Yeah, you had to sign up for it. I think it was about a month ago? I'll PM you mine since I won't be playing this game any time soon.

The DLC is available again until the 16th. You don't even need the game to claim it!
