SteamWorld Dig 2 Review (Nintendo Switch) (9.7)  by

SteamWorld Dig is back and bigger than ever! The sequel to the wildly ported and successful SteamWorld Dig releases on Thursday the 21st of September. The game has you starring Dorothy, a Steambot on a quest to find her friend Rusty from the first game. Explore the depths of the landscape, collect yourself some loot in the process, and uncover the mysteries set forth before you. The first game sucked me in to a ridiculous degree and thus the anticipation is high for this one. Image & Form has a promising track record, and this game will likely be one to keep an eye on.

Check out the new trailer if you haven't already!

Once you get the game, don't forget to add it to your database!

@DrFinkelstein

Same here. It's kind of like Pikmin in that way: seeing everyday items become puzzling artefact to post-human explorers after we're gone is great world-building, IMO, and brings up conflicting emotions in me. "Oh, they're calling a battery a 'courage reactor', how cute!", and "Sucks we're extinct because we've ruined the planet!".

@Guillaume
I think Splatoon's post-apocalypse is worthy of a mention here too! Their holy fax machine and what not.
