So cute. So funny. And it seems to have the somewhat open-ended puzzle feel of a Scribblenauts or Trine. And who doesn't love that goofy couch co-op experience?

EDIT: Expected for "March" but not necessarily Launch, available on the eShop for $19.99. Who's in?

Crap I actually kinda don't want this at launch on second thought because I'm spending enough money as it is!

@carlosrox

$20 bucks has got to be the cheapest item in your list of needs I'd bet. What are you nabbing all at launch?
01/29/17, 20:27
@DrFinkelstein
Well I got the Grey Switch, Master Edition Zelda (I did not want this edition specifically, it's $200!!), Bomberman (I didn't preorder it yet though I don't think) and I was planning on getting a Pro but I figure I might opt out and get some other games instead.

So with the Pro out for now it won't be as bad as I thought, I suppose. I also have the option of getting the standard Zelda with a backup preorder I have at another store, but I'm torn because I'd still like some things out of the Master Edition.

Pro is sold out now anyways IIRC so I might not even be able to find one.

I'm very very interested in World of Goo, I Am Setsuna, and probably others. Since Wii I've loved picking up several games at launch.

Nintendo Minute covers Snipperclips

Okay, after watching most of this video, I am officially on media blackout. I think I've seen a total of maybe 4 levels. That is enough.

@cooliocuneo

I'm in the same boat. Don't want to mistakenly see too many puzzles or solutions.

But when is this game releasing! As much as I need Zelda, I hope this is a launch title too.

@DrFinkelstein I thinks it's all but confirmed to be on the eShop on day one, however, Nintendo.com still says the generic "March 2017"

Wow, one thing I just found out, it's up to 4 players! That could get crazy!
02/22/17, 01:03
What? 4 players??

News to me, are you sure?

I'd love for this to be launch day.
02/22/17, 01:26
@carlosrox 4 players, yep. Straight from the official website:

"Three different types of modes – Solve basic and advanced puzzles by yourself or with a friend in the main game. Then, work together as a team and solve up to 2-4 player dynamic puzzles or compete against each other in activities!"

@cooliocuneo

Heck yeah. I'll want to take periodic breaks from Zelda because I'll digest that game better that way. This is a great game for my girlfriend and I to enjoy together on day one.

@cooliocuneo
Why has no one including Nintendo mentioned this?
02/22/17, 03:45
Mentioned 4 players? They did. In the Treehouse. 2:30 in the video there at the top! Come on, people, you're telling me you haven't committed the entire Treehouse video on Snipperclips to memory yet?

Pssh. Lame.
02/22/17, 05:51
@carlosrox Yes, as JKR said, Nintendo did mention it, on the Treehouse and the website, LOL. But I do see your point... Why haven't they shown at least one 3 or 4 player game? They don't even have to show them complete the thing, in fact, if they just showed 30 seconds of 4 player chaos, that would be enough to get many people off the fence so to speak.

@J.K. Riki Ahhh! I feel like I let you down, my brother-in-Snipperclip-arms. I should have remembered them mentioning that

@cooliocuneo

It's okay, some of us have to remain SOMEWHAT sane so the others can be swayed.

As for the not-showing-4-player thing, that I didn't know, because like you and Dr. Fink, I'm on media blackout for this. I didn't even watch the rest of the Treehouse past the first few levels! I figured they would have indeed showed four player, so that is surprising they haven't. Hmm...

I guess, to be fair, they haven't shown a lot of ANYTHING for Switch. For whatever reason, they are leaving it to be a fresh experience across the board, from Zelda to this. Only thing they've showed a lot of, I suppose, is 1-2 Switch. (I'm still a little shocked we didn't get one more Direct before launch! But I guess they figure Launch Switch consoles are sold out already.)

I sold four or so copies of Snipperclips while waiting with my friend in line at the Midnight launch, ha ha. I REALLY wanted to have a big sign that said "Buy Snipperclips" but it was a last minute decision to wait outside Best Buy, so I had to go with word of mouth.

@J.K. Riki I told my cousin that it was a MUST own. He and his girlfriend got theirs last night somehow, like 3 hours before any midnight opening here on the West Coast. He told me he played the demo and that it was FANTASTIC!

My Switch and BotW will be waiting for me when I get home from work tonight at 6:00. I will be downloading Snipperclips by 6:15.

My wife and I put some time into this, and it's super fun!
In fact, it's the only game I've tried on my Switch so far.

We even played together on the little screen for a while and it worked really well, aside from the crappy stand being crappy.

@cooliocuneo

Don't get your hopes up, there have been roving eShop failures throughout the day in places! But I hope indeed Snipperclips will arrives shortly after our unboxings, ha ha. We will see!

EDIT: It is up now, I just downloaded the demo. (Smooth as butter and SO much easier than every eShop before it. I love this new one.)

@J.K. Riki Downloaded it, didn't even try for the demo. Haven't played it yet as BotW just ate 3 hrs of my life. I'll play it with my wife tomorrow.

Question, is the multiplayer the same stages as single or different stages? I bought it and I want to it out but if it's the same stages either way I'll wait to play multi.
03/04/17, 16:50
@Zero

Seems like the same stages from the bit I played. You keep the "completed checkmark" in them and all, so you may want to wait.

Played about 20 min of this with various people last night. Very fun and charming!
