Well, less than a day now till we can finally play the original Pokémon Trilogy on our 3DS systems. Tons of classic nostalgia is to be found.

The games are often loved for being the first foray into the series plus the streamlined Pokémon roster and simplified EV/IV system is often touted as appreciated.

I'm somewhat bored of the newer installments these days but I might dip into Pokémon Yellow since I never did start with my own Pikachu. What is everyone else looking to do with these new releases?

$10? I wasn't expecting that. I'll still buy it, though. I don't know which version yet.

If I had money, probably all 3 of them. As it stands, none of them for now.

I also need to find my 3ds again. I have a habit of putting it down somewhere and then forgetting where I put it down.

Does anyone know if I can transfer my pokemon from these new games into my pokemon X & Y ? I really only ever played red and blue, so I want to buy yellow, but i would like to be able to transfer them into my X&Y games.

@Whiffleboy

You can put them in Pokemon Bank, the online Pokemon storage service, so...maybe? I'm not entirely sure how Pokemon Bank works.

@Whiffleboy The Pokemon site made a statement after the Direct that goes in more depth, but I'm sorta confused...Destructoid seemed to think it meant you could do that, but the following passage makes me think it's not possible.

"Note that Pokémon cannot be moved directly from Pokémon Red, Pokémon Blue, and Pokémon Yellow to Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, or Pokémon Y via Pokémon Bank."

I'm pretty sure you cannot transfer the VC PKMN to the newer, 3DS entries. They shouldn't be compatible. The Gen 1 monsters have different stats and lack features that would make them incompatible with the current gen games.

It seems Sun/Moon will allow you to transfer them. I guess they're taking Gen 1 into consideration while developing the next game.

The "Direct" mentioned this.

I nabbed Yellow last night being the true anniversary and all (and when they first went on sale). I'm looking forward to playing this version as I never did back in the day. Not sure when I'll start it but I'm glad it's on the handheld.

It's interesting that Yellow is being sold as a Gameboy Color game.

None, I already played them many, many times over back in the day. Don't need more, since I can catch all those Pokemon in the new games, plus they are new games! Really looking forward to Moon and Sun. :D
