Made some wicked progress tonight, and I'm not in bed yet so there could be more! No Skell yet, but I topped 30% in Oblivia using my feet, so thats that. I think I'm Lv30 with my main 3. I got really excited earlier about getting some new gear..and then realized that the new stuff drops at 35, nooooo. Poop.

I think each zone has ONE specific thing you have to do in it, ie: you can find all kinds of treasure on the field, but when you find one SPECIFIC treasure, it shows as DONE.

I did NOT see your messages. How did you send them? I've sent NOTHING. I did join up with some REAL guy though, just the two of us (with our single characters), and we beat the S out of some guys in about 2 minutes, haha. It..seems that once a category is complete down there, some other quests open up in the Barracks? I helped knock out a bunch of the monster heads down there, and by the time I got back to the Barracks, all the bonus things had been cleared! ACK. So next time, or when its getting close, I'm just gonna head over there and CAMP.

There's a keyboard icon on the GamePad. Just hit that and you can write whatever short message. You can't really direct them to anyone so it's hard to have a proper chat but it's better than nothing I suppose.

No Miiverse stuff as far as I know but some do have the Miiverse icon so I'm not really sure what those are. But when Tatsu talks, you can tap the keyboard icon and it'll file the message under that topic. Not really that useful but something I guess.

I don't like Skell fighting. But we just unlocked the Flying Module mission, so I'm highly looking forward to that.

What? Skell fighting is awesome! It's great running over the small enemies or going into Overdrive mode and annihilating everything.

Is Skell fighting all that different? Do you get to use your same Arts or anything?

Should I read your spoiler up/back there about Field Skills? I encountered a Lv. 4 Biological yesterday (haven't even found a Lv3 yet) and almost screamed.

Is there a set time that everyone is on? It'd be COOL if we could chain together a Squad that we were always in, simply by virtue of someone from NW always playing somewhere around the world. ie: I don't think NW is every fully logged out of by anybody. And that SuperCard game I'd been playing, we had teammates all over the world (just 9-10 of us) and I put in well over 12 hours a day, but England, Germany, India, Australia scooped up the slack while I slept. It was pretty neat!

But at the end of the day, does it even matter? I'm not sure.


Has anyone done a Treasure Deal yet? I just tried one or two out yesterday..and I don't even know what happened. I don't know if I was competing against someone, or if someone just sold me something they found automatically, or what. I haven't tried Treasure Dealing anything myself.


EDIT- Regarding Field Skills:
Just looked it up; apparently, you get your Skills to Lv4 via Elenora dependent on your BLADE level, but to get to Lv5 for EACH skill, there is a SPECIAL mission attached to both. I'm unclear if all of them, or one of them, are called "Off The Record," (and its apparently a BITCH to get to show up, so if you see it, hop on it and hold it) but I have that mission in my deal. It had a bunch of ??? for my prize, so I guess thats spoiled for me, but now I can rest easy in knowing that I CAN get "everything" out there without having to sacrifice Biological, for instance.

Decided to try and organize my probes better and managed to get my funds up to 57k every time it brings funds in. Not bad! Miranium is around 25k but I max out at 21k for now anyway.

You eventually find probes that increases the limit by 3000. I think it's mostly been story missions so far... maybe there's other place. I couldn't say because of how massive this game is

I think funds cash out every 24 hours in-game? Not counting if you adjust the clock via the benches/rest points.

There's stuff that doesn't come on the disc? I knew there were things to download, but I didn't realise they didn't come on the disc, I thought they would just make it run faster or something.

That's the case. They do come on the disc. The disc is 100% playable without ever downloading this packs. However, it's significantly faster if you download the packs. They're 10 gigs in total size for the four.

I think my favourite part of the game so far, was when I was being 'asked' to join BLADE. I kept telling him that I didn't want to join and I loved how his dialogue got more and more annoyed with me. Definitely made him seem more sinister than me before, I wonder if that was the intention?

Definitely. Nintendo recommends the basic pack, which is about 2.5 gigs I think and that'll improve a lot of the experience. The others improve enemy spawns and gear and stuff probably because those have huge libraries to read through. But as far as traversing through the world and loading when warping and stuff, the basic pack is supposed to help a lot.

It always seems to glitch for me and I end up weirdly laying on the ground and fighting the air in front of me. It's weird.

Yeah that happens if you're fighting monsters in the air. Since your Skell always face the monster, it faces upwards if a monster is above you But it's still not really glitching cause it's not like it prevents you from attacking anyway.
