Zero's ongoing list of bannable offenses.

I will add to the list as necessary.

1. Ripping on Metroid Prime's scanning.
2. Calling Henry Hatsworth (awesome game) "broken".
3. Thinking that the Beatles Rock Band is not milking the Rock Band name just because it is a Beatles game.
4. Using Kirby to suck me up and then walk off the edge while playing me in Smash Brothers.
5. Comparing Lost favorably to Metroid.
6. Confusing Ostro with Birdo.
7. Posting weird Advance Wars hentai like this (NSFW!)
8. Not posting weird Advance Wars hentai like this (NSFW!)
9. Claiming you are undefeated in Ice Hockey but actually you just hit the reset button any time you are about to lose.
10. Thinking just because Nintendo does something it is ok for you to do it.
11. Not knowing why you were banned.
12. Anything that isn't on the list yet, but will be someday. Ex post facto applies here.
13. Trying to get around not being able to predict what will happen by predicting you will be banned... or... wait, does that make sense?!
14. Thinking Family Guy is on par with or, god forbid, better than Futurama.
15. Liking Baby Bowser in anything that isn't Yoshi's Island.
16. Making bad banana puns. Unless you pull off 3 in one statement, in which case it is ok.
17. Downvoting Resident Evil 4 in the games ratings.
18. Skies >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Tales. Do not disagree.
19. Acting like The Beatles Rock Band isn't milking the franchise just because it is The Beatles who are the most supercalifragelisticexpialidocious band ever
20. Editing Zero's Beatles hatin' posts.
21. Passing Zero in XP.

22. DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU.

Haha, I don't really care about Beatles Rock Band. I must admit, your new opinion on The Beatles surprises me, though. It's good to see you've come around. It's never too late to repent, you know.

What do you mean?

I'm still on top!

I can't stand the Beatles. Seriously. If I'm going to listen to music from that era, I'd much rather listen to the Beach Boys or the Animals......or even Elvis. The Beatles are bland and boring. Blech.

My infraction of #18 was only a matter of time.

Whoa there cowboy. The Beatles are bland and boring? EVERY Beach Boys song is the same. EVERY SONG.

I should write into the code that my XP is always equal to Secret_Tunnel's... +1.

That'd be hilarious.

And it's actually a Chuck Berry song!!

J/K, I like the Beach Boys. But they're no Beatles.

I like how you guys carefully omitted how I mentioned the Animals and Elvis as well. :) I can't bring myself to say that the Beatles suck (even though I'd really like to) since they've been such a massive influence on some bands and artists fhat I really love, but I really can't stomach their music, or even their solo stuff. Every time I hear Imagine or see that stupid picture of Lennon and Yoko naked, it pisses me off. Wings is horrible too.
Posted: 03/24/10, 00:03:36
What do you mean even their solo stuff? The band output is generally considered to be superior. Anyway, I'm not going to shit on other bands of the '60s, because I like most of them. It's modern music that sucks. Elvis stole rock'n'roll from the African-Americans.

Seriously, though. I'm not going to make a big case for The Beatles. There would be no point, since they're the one thing I like that's totally accepted by the mainstream. But shouldn't it tell you something that your favorite bands idolize them?

@anandxxx

I don't think it should really tell him anything, he accepts that they're beloved, he just doesn't care for them himself. Plenty of bands I love are influenced by bands I don't care for (The Smiths, for example) and vice versa. I don't think that really plays any role in shaping one's own tastes.

Dude, I've tried to like them, trust me. I really have. Maybe I need to hear more of their stuff, but their music to me is VERY simplistic and pretty devoid of anything musically interesting that an amateur musician couldn't play. Especially Ringo and Paul. And yes, everyone knows Elvis was influenced by black music. Guess what? So were the Beatles.

The Beatles being accepted by the mainstream means nothing to me. American Idol is accepted by the mainstream as well and I can't stand that show either.

I was pretty ignorant until recently when it came to the Beatles, mostly due to the fact that my parents never listened to music much. I knew of stuff like "I wanna hold your hand" and didn't find it very impressive.

But then a coworker of mine listened to me talk about the artists I love and just couldn't understand why I wouldn't give the Beatles a shot. "All your favorite artists are directly inspired by The Beatles! Go to the source!"

And I did. And I'll be damned if Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's aren't two of the best album I've ever listened to.

House of the Rising Sun by the Animals is better than any song The Beatles ever wrote.

Yeah I said it. Bring it on.

:p

This is just factually wrong. George Harrison might not play Jimmy Page/Van Halen style fast solos, but he's a master of some technical guitar stuff that is very difficult. Also I'd love to see some amateurs match the harmonies in Beatles songs. There are plenty of popular bands that have amateurish music, but the Beatles aren't one of them.
