Thag no like fire game. Fire game hurt.
 
Mate Games
Thig used make mate games with Thag. Now Thig only make mate games with Thog. Thag only make mate games by self. Mate games by self make Thag feel bad.
 
Hunting Games
Thag no like games where lose and sleep forever.
 
Dude Games
Two men arrive in strange box. Make game where say dude and bogus many times. Thag not understand what they say. Game stupid.
 
Word Games
Thag know all words need know. Now Thog want make new words game?
 
Self Games
Thog want make game by self. Thog have strange ideas for games. Thag say make games for all.
 
God Games
Thag want make god happy. Thog make wrong god happy. When Thag sleep God say Thog no good. Thag make Thog sleep forever.
 
Strange People Games
Strange people arrive with new game. They say live together for long time. Sound good but why we die and they no die?

@Shadowlink I was trying to reference the period when Neanderthals and modern humans lived together for awhile. And then Neanderthals went extinct.

Ah. Sounds like the new game was like the equivalent of Call of Duty. An awful game, based on ridiculous amounts of killing that out-competes the classics of yesteryear.

It's fairly accurate, at least according to the current interpretation of the fossil record. Supposedly there was a bunch of interbreeding too.

@Mr_Mustache It's accurate as far as we know, but keep in mind when I say "modern humans" I just mean the species we are which eventually evolved into man / woman as we know them. Was still pretty primitive back then though.

I was just trying to have a dark ending where the ones writing the list were facing imminent extinction.

@Mr_Mustache Neanderthals aren't part of our lineage though. They're a separate line that died out awhile back. Well, I think we both have a common ancestor but you have to go back further for that?

There are even some theories that Homo Sapiens led to the extinction of the Neanderthals, although I don't know how much evidence there is to support those theories. But I was trying to play on those theories too in my #1 up there... as if homo sapiens "arrived" and Neanderthals started dying off...

Well 200,000 BC was probably a little early for that. Neanderthals were still kicking around about 40-50,000 years ago.
