That might have been a connection error on my end. Sorry about that! My wireless internet isn't so great.

Edit: I'm going to call it for tonight. My connection is pretty rough right now.

That was fun though! This game cracks me up. Working together as a team can be difficult, but there's something appealing about it.

Yeah, it was fun when it worked! It's always more exciting when everyone is playing a stage for the first time.

@Anand

That was my first time playing a level outside of the Woodlands! It felt like I jumped from the beginning of the game to the climax.

It's cool that the stages can be played in any order, though. There's an arcade-y feeling to Tri-Force Heroes that I like.

@Octorockin
Yeah, it IS arcadey. Maybe that's why I like it. The whole game actually feels very refreshing to me. It's definitely Zelda, but it's still something different.

Sorry for jumping you straight into the Fortress. I should've asked which world you wanted to play. Those puzzles were pretty devious. My fireproof Goron costume came in handy!

Managed to finish the game last night. Really had a fun time with this game despite thinking it wouldn't be all that great. That final battle is pretty rough too! Though knowing what to do and playing with a good group will surely make the challenges for this level doable I hope.

I played through all 4 levels of the Ruins with the same 2 random people tonight. We worked well together, so it was nice that we could bang out all 4 levels in one go!

Finished up the Fortress area. This game continues to surprise and delight me. First of all, if you never want to grind for rupees again, just make the Rupee Regalia. It basically breaks the economy of the game. You can get hundreds of rupees just by cutting bushes in the hub town for a minute or two. Hell, even one bush can give you a hundred rupees!

I think it's awesome that the game is flexible enough to allow you to break it (or seriously alter it), though. How many Nintendo games can you really say that about? I used my newfound riches to get the Sword Beam outfit, as well. On top of looking snazzy, it also seems pretty OP and ferocious. My next goal is to grab the Ninja outfit that triples your dash attack power. How awesome is that? And the Linebeck outfit that allows you to screw over your fellow companions in the name of greed. How awesome is that??

The challenges are also quite varied. And the designers cleverly alter the levels a bit (like in Mario Sunshine) to enable them. It almost seems like some are impossible with one player, but I haven't run into any that I couldn't solve with a bit of ingenuity. Even the treasure chest puzzles are still possible to solve in the challenges. But you have to pretty clever at times (like breaking pots or attacking enemies by throwing allies on top of them).

I don't think I'll try to do the time-based ones by myself, though. That seems like a pain in the ass.

Anyone still play this here, or have I already missed it? It'd be nice to get a NegWorld team going sometime.

I've been playing this with a team of friends, and it's amazing how much fun this game can be. It's actually less about puzzles than I originally expected from what I saw, it's usually easy to figure what to do, and more about being coordinated enough to accomplish the tasks at hand. Therefore, I don't think playing with someone who's done it before would be much of a damper on things. This seems especially true for the challenges, where you already know the level anyway, and some of them can really mix things up and change how a level is played. Funnily enough, this is probably the most challenging Zelda game in a good long while, in part because you can't permanently increase your heart count or upgrade gear. A very refreshing and fun take on the Zelda formula.

I think this might be my GOTY. And I don't mean that lightly, because, I mean, this is a year with stuff like Super Mario Maker and Splatoon.

@Mop it up

Several of us are hoping/planning to get it for Christmas, so we'll see what happens! Glad to hear you're enjoying it.

@Mop it up

I'm still playing. I "finished" the game a few days ago, but I still have a couple levels in the last world to complete, not to mention most of the challenges. I'd definitely be up for a game sometime.
11/18/15, 23:43
I'm still playing. Speaking of which, anyone up for a few levels?
11/20/15, 03:56
I'm still up for doing challenges. Some of them are quite hard too! I have the entire first world complete and working on the second now.
11/20/15, 04:48
Everyone jumped ahead. I feel so left behind.

Don't have kids!!!!

But anyways, anyone going to play this tonight? I've had great success playing with you pals. We knock out a whole world in under an hour, which is impressive!

@TheOldManFromZelda

I can only play around 10pm ET if that's alright with you.
11/20/15, 14:51
@VofEscaflowne

I'll see if I can swing it!
11/20/15, 16:57
I should be around tonight, but I don't know if I'll be conscious at 10:00pm since I woke up at 4:00am this morning. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
11/20/15, 20:21
@VofEscaflowne It sounds like you already have three people signed up, but if someone doesn't show or quits early, I might be able to sub in.

Will use guys be using NegWorld's chat during the games?
11/21/15, 03:02
@Mop it up

I think I'm too tired to play tonight, so feel to free to join Vof and Old Man.
11/21/15, 03:46
@Mop it up

Yeah, I could swing by the chat. I believe Lou is still up for it so we could make it a team if no one else took that spot. I'm not sure who's joining in quite yet...
