So, how are you liking this game? I think it's fun. I'm playing it in small doses. I'm on battle 42 of about 159 (for now). I already got the Mew from a special event, too. I haven't captured all the pokemon I have battled. I'm focusing on moving forward and then coming back to catch them all. I AM making exceptions for those pokemon I can actually Mega Evolve.

By the way, how does this game compare to Pokemon Trozei? I haven't played that one.

@Shadowlink

I'm gonna need to start spending coins. With all the extra items I have even that might be hard haha.

How awful for you .

Caught Latios at level 11 which was nice. I should invest in catching Goodra on the expert stages. That would give me 4 Base 80 dragons for the escalation- Including Dragonite which comes with Dancing Dragons. Manage to proc that at the start and keep your combo going for fun and games.

In the meantime Rayquaza @ base 70 is an acceptable substitute for Goodra. I guess.

PSA: Attack Up + Disruption Delay is probably the most efficient item choice for level 50.

Does the difficulty in level 50 really jump up that much?
11/26/15, 20:38
@V_s

Always.

50 Seconds, 14,000 HP, disruptions up the wazoo. Enjoy.

Weird that Latios and Latias have seemingly the same Mega Ability but different descriptions

@Jargon

It's the same difference between Ampharos and Manetric (just horizontal instead of vertical.)

Latios's ability lands on predefined lines, Latias's is more random.

Also like Ampharos/Manetric, Latios megas more quickly than Latias. UNLIKE the electric counterparts though, Latios is at equal power. Clear choice as mega.

@Shadowlink

I managed to beat Level 50 with just a Disruption Delay, but you're right; it wasn't easy.

I've never had to use an item to beat any Escalation Battle Level 50s in the past, but the itemless route wasn't cutting it this time.

@V_s

I went the disruption delay only route at first, but didn't get much past halfway. So I paired it with an attack up for the second attempt which did the job nicely. I must be really crappy at timed battles . Or my Dancing Dragons team is terrible which doesn't seem possible? Maybe just underleveled considering it's two newest members were only caught in the last couple of days.

Who are you using?
11/27/15, 05:52
I used an Attack Up as well. There was a lot of luck to that stage, I almost beat it with no items. Then I tried a Disruption Delay and didn't come close. So I went with one of my spare Attack Ups rather than sink more coins on just Disruption Delays when I might keep getting unlucky.

@Shadowlink

Mega Latias (6), Xerneas (MAX), Dragonite (MAX), Articuno (8)

I'm glad to see some of you are still having so much fun with this title. I finally lost my steam on it. I think it was because I accidentally missed on of the Regi-pokemon and then I bought a house and stopped concerning about getting my coins built back up. Work was really busy as of late too. Maybe that cut into my desire to play. Now there is a new daily-ritual game, but that's the Badge Center which I find more fun nowadays! Keep up the fun though! I look forward to seeing how some of you 'caught em' all' soon enough.

Hit a wall at level 141. 5 failures in a row.

Pretty much confirms 150 as my intended stopping point, but my team is a little underleveled. So I'm thinking a week's training to bump them up a little and then finish the last 10 levels next weekend.
11/29/15, 10:59
So I bumped a level each on my team and switched out to Xerneas for pure power and gave the final levels another shot. Couple more close failures right near the pointy end, but managed to stumble into stage 150.

Attack up, DD and a +10 that I might not have needed. I think I'm pretty much done now

These "One Great Chance a Day!" specials are Pokemon Shuffle at its worst. Practically no way to beat it without items and a strong incentive to use great balls if you do manage to beat it. Lame.

I've got one more S-rank to get. Machoke. Not even sure how to do it with items. Even a Complexity -1 won't be that helpful with the ice disruption that happens and yet a disruption delay will make it impossible to get out of the beginning unless you bring ice breakers or Machop and Machamp. Hmm... Already at pretty low cash reserves from S-ranking the others and getting to 150 on Latios.
12/05/15, 06:59
I figured this was the case but I can now confirm that you can only hold 99 Hearts in reserve. Time to start spending them down I guess.

Used an Attack + and Disruption Delay to catch Regigigas. I don't think bringing the other Regis was as helpful as they claimed, but with Medichamp it does allow for some good combos once you can use his special attack. Make sure your first move is making the match available in the middle row. You get some free damage out of that.

Weird that there's another Mewtwo stage in Special. I guess I'll play it to see if you get any kind of bonus.
12/15/15, 19:53
@Jargon

They are helpful, purely because they reduce the number of pokemon on the field. I tried with a full fighting team and everything got very messy very fast.

It's actually rather easy to beat that stage itemless with the full Regi team (level 1, 1, and 4) and a fighting mega. I did it with twice, once with zero moves, and once with 5 moves left. A levelled Regi team will have it even easier, just remember to make 3 combo matches to forestall the big disruptions.

My second win gave me a super catch rate of 78% so I just tossed a great ball at that point. Not the worst investment. Cheaper than an attack up.

Nothing for Mewtwo, just a way of giving him to chumps that haven't got him yet. Boo.

Apparently Mewtwo can be more effective at coin farming than Meowth if you're really careful not to kill him. But since I've been unable to get more than 200 coins out of the guy in one sitting, I think I'm done trying.

I tried Regigigas with all the Regis and Mega Lucario and got him down to about 1/4 of his health. Then I tried again with a full fighting-type team and only got him down to about half health. Then I tried again with all the Regis and Mega Medicham. Beat him itemless with 3 moves remaining and caught him with a regular Pokeball.

I haven't really tried out the whole Double Normal strategy very much before, but Regigigas seems like he'd be a great addition to those sorts of teams.

Holy shit, I'm currently top 5 in PAL for Mega Garchomp.

Well, technically I'm 8th. But spots 1, 2, and 3 are all using ditto. So fuck those guys.

High Score 99,698. 8(5th) from 35,813. If only my team had been leveled. I'm only 8K behind the actual top spot.

Actually I need to have a pic of this for posterity...
