So, how are you liking this game? I think it's fun. I'm playing it in small doses. I'm on battle 42 of about 159 (for now). I already got the Mew from a special event, too. I haven't captured all the pokemon I have battled. I'm focusing on moving forward and then coming back to catch them all. I AM making exceptions for those pokemon I can actually Mega Evolve.
By the way, how does this game compare to Pokemon Trozei? I haven't played that one.
Tried again tonight. Nabbed a higher score by a little. Sitting now at 8,425 out of 152,752. I wonder if Nintendo expected this big a turn out when they noted only 20,000 would win. Right now that's only 13% of people. Kind of lame to lock away content to only that small subset.
Just played my first session. So this is mobile gaming, eh? I can see the appeal. Seems like I could have 10 minutes of fun with this per day.
So if I leave it overnight do I have 5 hearts again in the morning? You guys seem to have gotten pretty far in the course of a couple weeks. Is y'all dropping any eshop credit on this bad boy?
I finally cashed in all of my jewels for... 50,000 coins, or something? And then wasted a bunch on the Competition. I'm afraid to check my ranking. It was something like 8,500 a couple of days ago, though. Bleah.
Also, I've caught almost all of the Pokemon. I've gotta say, this game is much easier to play in short bursts than Monster Hunter 4!
Because everyone in the top 5 has him, I've been spending most of my lives trying to catch Xerneas. I've gotten close to beating him, but since I can't even do that within the time limit, I know I'm going to have a difficult time catching him...
I've dropped into the bottom 10,000 in my ranking for the contest, but I think I'm at 11,000-something, so I'm not too worried just yet.
I did the same thing, and ended up getting lucky. With 3 seconds to spare, you get a 6% chance. I missed, got the super ball, and caught him despite the low 12% chance.
Wasn't able to compete the past few days... still in the top 12,000 though. There's two days left. Hopefully things stay in my favor. I feel like next time they should raise the cap a bit on how many can win. Nearly 200,000 participants... whoa.

I agree. I think the cap should be raised (wait. Is it raised or lowered?) significantly. I'm sitting at 27,0000 something. I see little hope of getting it. And that means that I, as well as 90% of players, will be missing out until, and if, they decide to bring it out again. If they go the Injustice mobile route, it's no biggie, you can either pay for it later or wait a few months for a second chance.
@Guillaume - I managed to beat him, but I did so with 0 seconds to spare, so, predictably, I didn't catch him at 1%, and I didn't feel like spending 2500 coins to only have a 2% chance to catch him... And now I can't beat him again.
So I just learned that apparently the top 50,000 in Japan get a Lucarionite. I think it's strange that the number is so much lower for the west, given that it's such a bigger market.
I'm ranked 9,095 at the moment with a score of 13,054.
Screw Xerneas. And screw Zoroark. I've been trying to beat him for a week. I finally just ponied up for three sequential Great Balls. I didn't even know you could USE sequential Great Balls!
But I'm still at 12,000-something in the ranking. Whee.
No bonuses. I just got really lucky on my most recent score. I got up to 12,000+ earlier today with Togekiss, but I don't know if I'll be able to hit 13,000+ again before the contest is over unless I start using bonuses.
