amiibo is certainly turning out to be a big thing in Nintendo's eyes. Whether or not the rewards for utilizing each amiibo is worthy to you, Nintendo plans to implement all sorts of bonuses. It appears right now that every amiibo is meant to do 'something' in each game though games not featuring certain characters may have more limited uses or lesser-valued ones. We've had plenty of threads on here for amiibo and I'm sure that will continue. Still, I wanted to establish a general discussion thread that doesn't have a specific focus or thought. I think they've been getting better at producing enough to meet demand. I went to a couple of GameStop stores the other day to check out a sale they were having, and I saw several of 8-bit Mario, Olimar, and Zero Suit Samus just sitting behind the counter at each location.

I was only joking about the bitcoin part. I do need metaknight and Rosalina (that's what I get for posting once every 3 years).

So how would you get paid? PayPal?

Yeah, paypal's been pretty popular with these transactions. Like @Mr_Mustache mentioned, he can send both Ness and Metaknight my way, then I'd send you Rosalina and Metaknight your way. Easy peasy, lemon squeasy! At least, I think that's what was meant.

Also, seems toys r us recently got restocked with a few older Amiibo, and my wife grabbed some just in case. Again, all easily returnable, but it doesn't hurt to see if anybody is still looking. So, I also have an extra:
- Little Mac
- Fox
- Captain Falcon
If anybody still needs these oldies, do let me know!

Yeah, a re-release. Other people were apparently there already buying them, so the wife grabbed one of each, just in case.

Okay, I did get the super adorbs Chibi-Robo Amiibo. Definitely one of my faves. I like that he's still in Amiibo packaging in the box.

And, my local best buy is currently mega-stocked in Amiibo. They had several Marth, Shulk, Dark Pit (which I needed), Little Mac, Greninja, Captain Falcon, among others. It was quite a sight. And it was nice to see the no-longer-exclusives as well. Still no more cards, though.

Hmm, I had an amiibo dream last night but I can't remember too many details. Something about going to my local Target, which usually has crap selection, and there was a ton of variety and unexpected amiibos for once. And I was about to buy like 10 at once or something when I was like... what am I doing? If I really wanted these I could have found them online or something, why do I have to buy them just because I see them in the wild?!

I think in my dream there was an Andy from Advance Wars amiibo though, so... that would have been a definite buy regardless.

The Chibi-Robo amiibo is really awesome looking. Not having the NFC writer for 3DS means I'll likely never actually use the amiibo. That being said, it's still neat to have.

Does it work in Mairo Maker? I haven't gamed in a while.

I finally got myself a Ness amiibo. Quite happy with that.

I'm about 90% sure Chibi-Robo would unlock the Chibi-Robo costume in Super Mario Maker. You can technically unlock it through traditional means (at random from beating 100-Mario Challenge) but it should work to get him quickly. It might also work with Yoshi's Woolly World, not sure.
